Use this for my DSLR and Pico Dolly. For the price, it's great. Replaced this because the first one was dropped on the top and the head bent a little bit. I guess the aluminum is a little soft but I have no idea who dropped it so I can't say! It's a little loose at the base when tightening which results in some shimmy when the camera is mounted. But I found that a little shaking to resets everything and I can get a good lock. Good inexpensive head for a so-so inexpensive dolly.

I purchased this mini ball head for a specific purpose. I use it to attach one of my 3 Nikon SB600 speed lights to my Adorama light stand (sku# LTSK8). With my Nikon D800, I'm able to use my pop up flash in commander mode and fire off all 3 speed lights remotely. I could have attached the speed light to the light stand with out the mini ball head, but then I would not be able to angle it down. This SB600 speed light limitation was resolved when Nikon replaced it with the SB700 which can be angled down 7 degrees. I would not use this "mini" ball head to mount a heavy DSLR, but I'm sure it would work just fine for a point and shoot.

Flashpoint-Adorama seem to be well made products sold at the right price, and this one is no exception. It may be a little heavy for some but it doesn't bother me.

Very small and weak. Not a stable or strong ball head.

I would buy this again- well worth
