Great dolly

Four years ago, I was low on money and needed a tripod dolly. I bought the cheapest one I could find and have been pleasantly surprised. This is a great dolly for the price. It is easy to use and very lightweight. It is not built as sturdily as more expensive dollies. The parts that hold the feet of the tripod are plastic. However, it is the lightest and most compact dolly I have ever used. It gives me a smooth and sturdy platform without weighing a ton. It has great wheels, and has held up j...

arrived broken

It arrived broken, one of the leg doesn't stay locked in the open position. I contacted customer service over a month ago, but no solution is in sight yet. They were not particularly reactive...

Good wheels - bad clamps

By

from Bay Area, CA  -  Photo Enthusiast

The wheels on this dolly are quite nice for the money. But the clamps that secure the tripod are made from pretty flimsy plastic. One of my clamps arrived non-functional, and I've had no success getting Adorama to send me a new part for it.

Practical, Does what it was designed to

By

from Los Angeles  -  Pro Photographer

The benefit of this product is in it's simplicity. It was designed for a specific purpose and it does it well. It works with most tripods and is built for most anything that is tripod mounted. It opens and closes without catching fingers, has a carry handle and a sturdy zipper bag. It does exactly what it was designed to do and take the least space!

Just the thing!

By

from Wilmington, MA  -  Pro Photographer

I use this dolly in my studio to support a Benro tripod with two video cameras on top. It easier to roll this around than to pick up and carry the whole assembly around. Also I use it for "roll-in" shots. For the price I couldn't expect any more.

Works Simple, Works Great

By

from Bloomington, IN  -  Casual Photographer

We recently purchased a 3d laser scanner, so we purchased a tripod and dolly from Adorama to mount the scanner on, and everything has worked wonderfully so far. The ability to remove the tripod from the dolly in order to move the tripod outside or on site is extremely helpful.

clunky, not worth it

By

from New York, NY  -  Pro Photographer

this was a clunky piece of equipment that we tried to use and film with a 5D MK II on a tripod and the wheels did not roll smoothly at all - it rendered useless for the project we were working on. i returned it, no questions asked, the next day.

Descent Dolly

By

from Fort Worth, TX  -  Casual Photographer

The dolly is very good for the price. The design wasn't as rigid as I was hoping, but it gets the job done. It also comes with a bag to store it in. The wheels are rubber and the locking mechanisms works well.

Questions & Answers Powered by TurnTo®

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
LENNY K  I needed a way to move the studio lights around without having to put the camera down and pick up the light /light stand, and move it. This dolly fit the legs of the Calumet light stands well and took care of the requirement.
Jason C  Are the casters removable if I want to put on sturdier wheels?
JEAN G  Jason, I have not tried to do so but upon looking at them, it looks like you can.
Shopper  what weight load can this handle?
EMMETT H  It is very well built. I don't know exactly the weight capacity, however, it should handle any camera/light/accessory you would place on a tripod or light stand. The only limitation I experienced is the spread. It may not expand wide enough to stabilize a large stand.
