For the wedding and outdoor use. If the subject in a shade then I can use it for flash. Yes the legs curl but after good use they lose the grip power, very important because you dont want the flash to drop on the floor. I use a bungie cord for extra protection.

I wanted to travel light to Las Vegas and take only my Olympus XZ-1 point and shoot, but still be able to get some night shots. The Gorillapod fit easily in my carry on luggage and I was able to put it in a pocket of my cargo shorts or just leave it attached to the camera and not even notice the weight around my neck. Easy to attach to railings or just about anything to allow long exposures.

This is one of those "I'm glad someone finally invented it" products. Instead of balancing your camera on a stack of books for that quick family portrait around the fireplace, the Gorillapod works like magic. And you don't have to drag out that big, bulky tripod. Wonderful!

It has it's place and uses. It was a good add to our tripod collection.

I bought this for my fiance for her to use in stop motion animation. It's hard to get the thing level and the grips don't always stick. Still, it was cheap, but I wonder If I should have just gotten a small tri-pod.

My friend and I take hikes or Jeep trips to the desert and the Gorillapod tripod has been a great replacement for setting our camera on rocks and tree branches! Love the flexibility!

I use it for macro photography. It does not get in the way & is very adaptable to various conditions.

Small & light, easy to pack, so you can have camera support when you need it. Good for low light and macro photography. Easy to bend & adjust. Since it's not stable, use your camera's self timer to reduce movement.

First impressions are good. Now to take it skiing and see if it holds up off of the pine trees.

This tripod is small, light and you can carry it whenever you are carrying your camera. It is tremendously effective because it can attach to anything handy, like a railing, doorknob, tree branch and so on. It's great when you want to put yourself in the picture.

• The gorillapod firmly secures your compact digital camera to just about anything...anywhere and everywhere. Unlike traditional tripods, the gorillapod doesn't require an elevated flat surface for you to take the perfect shot.
