Just Great

The gorrilapod works just as promised. The legs are even stronger then I anticipated and stay the shape you make them, granted I shoot with a rebel and lighter lenses. Also makes simple floor level shots a breeze in addition to the endless places you mount it.

Owned It for a Year and Some Change

I purchased one of these to travel with my D800 and it got frequent use alongside my 16-35mm. It takes a little while to get it setup, it wouldn't support the weight very well if the legs weren't straight, which if you just had it wrapped around a railing takes a while to sort out. The biggest problem I had with this product is the minimum diameter you can wrapt it around something. I was trying to get it around a railing when I cracked one of the sections with very little force. This made it not hold near as much weight and over time more and more of them cracked. Finally on a trip to Italy, a few of the sections fell off where it had cracked and I just tossed it in the garbage. I liked the versatility and light weight nature, but the design breaks far too easily for me to consider another one.

Nifty

By

I have been familiar with this product for some time so there were no surprises. It packs easily and is sturdy enough to handle my rather heavy DSLR (Canon 5D MIII). I have some mobility problems and will be using it to steady the camera when shooting from a car window. I anticipate it make HDR work more available. It wil not substitute for a real professional tripod but those will not fit in a backpack nor will your companion willingly carry one for you for any distance. It will give you great mobility and adequate stability.

Awesome combo

I love being able to carry this tripod everywhere I go. It's light and sturdy and I can attach it to almost anything. The level gives me a little concern because it would be easy to get it broken.

Overall the experience left a bad taste.

By

from Seattle  -  Casual Photographer

The Joby works fine. I ordered a package the joby plus a few freebies and did not get the freebies. I contacted Adorama and said that they would fix it. Except when I came from vacation they said I had to send it back, in order to get the freebies. So I just left it at that without my freebies. A few bucks of missing freebies can really sour the taste.

Great little tripod

By

from Wilmington, NC  -  Casual/ Recreational

I carry this tripod with me all the time. It enabled me to get some great shots that I would not have been able to shoot otherwise due to low light or long zooms.

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
NOEL H  A simple but adequite travel tripod.
Shopper  Will it work with t4i?
DAVID H  Yes! The camera is not a problem ... The LENS would be the only concern. A 'normal" lens would be fine ... A LONG, BIG, HEAVY lens would not! Great little tripod ... Just watch which lens you use with it.
Adi T  Will this tripod fit on the Lumix LX5 camera?
NOEL H  I do not know why it would not, as long as the camera has a threaded hole on the bottom to attach the screw from the tripod.
