Right size

This backpack easily holds my Nikon D90, several lenses, a flash, accessories, and my laptop. It is perfect for trips as my airplane carry on. The waist strap makes it comfortable while walking around.

Nice Travel bag

Got this as a second smaller travel bag for vacation. I like the extra storage area at the top for video camera and non camera items. Great carry on and snugly fits below airline seats. Fits my 40D/battery grip with smaller lens 24-100mm or 12-24mm. Room also for my 100-400 but not attached. Can carry all this and external flash. Also like the digi camo color. Don't have laptop but can use that storage for carrying flat or folded items. I had returned size below, as it would not fit all my camera gear stated above.

Great bag needs some work

I use this bag to travel from home to school and also when I go out. It is nice because it does not look like a camara or computer bag but does have a few problems. It holds a ton of camera supplies and a computer easy but does have some problems if you want to carry anything other than a few small items. THe non-camera section could be better but the bag as a whole is very well designed.

Great Bag, Decent price

for a photo backback, it really doesnt get much better than this for travel. you have a large compartment that will hold several lenses and a full size body, and a top compartment for storing anything else you want, a sweatchirt, lunch, other accessories, you name it!. it can be a bit hard to do quick lens changes, but fro travel, its great.

its not bad...

Its ok. Not brilliant. It is comfortable for me when hiking and I'm pretty big.. 6'3" One issue is you have to lay it on the potentially wet ground to open it, so you get a wet back when you put it back on. I found the camera section hard to open and close. The zips aren't that easy because of the curve they follow and also the big snap buckle at the top tends to get inside the bag under the camera. It is also really easy to it up with the camera section open and have everything fall out. These are mostly criticisms of the basic type of bag rather than this specific model. It is nicely made but I had one of the waist buckles fall off and get lost at some point which is annoying. My biggest gripe is it doesn't have any small pockets on the outside. I'd like to see a small pocket on the outside for storing a pen, passport, travel documents etc... it is supposed to be the "adventurer" after all.

Great alternative to camera bag

Great backpack, little bigger than expected. on the pricey side, but great for protecting expansive DSLR during bike rides, hikes. Plenty of room for (D)SLR with a battery pack, couple lenses, battery charger and batteries. neat way to store the memory. nice laptop pocket. not tested under severe weather conditions (not sure how waterproof this backpack is)

• The Adventure 9 is a modern backpack designed for the SLR photographer with a pro digital or film SLR (such as Canon's EOS 1D Series or Nikon's D2 Series) with a grip and 5" lens attached, several additional lenses, a flash, accessories and a laptop. The completely foam-padded lower compartment protects photo equipment, while the large top compartment holds a light jacket, lunch or other necessary items. Inside the top, a Pop-Off Pocket keeps AC adaptors and laptop cords organized. A separate, completely foam-padded compartment provides quick access to a laptop (such as Apple's PowerBook G4 or others up to 15½" x 11" x 2" in size) without disturbing photo gear. • Double zipper pulls provide quick access to photo gear while a weather flap and quick-release buckle provide security and weather protection. Inside the main compartment, foam pillars support the camera with lens attached, ready for action, while adjustable, foam-padded dividers protect other equipment. Tamrac's patented Memory & Battery Management System uses red flags to identify available memory cards and batteries from ones that are used up. A Windowpane-Mesh pocket organizes filters, cables and other accessories. • Two mesh side pockets provide quick access to accessories and water bottles. The comfortable, foam-padded backpack harness with sternum strap is contoured todistribute the weight of the camera gear across the shoulders. The harness alsofeatures Tamrac's Strap Accessory System attachment points for customizing thispack with optional Tamrac S.A.S. products. Two lash tabs on the bottom allow atripod to be carried (requires accessory straps).
