About Tamrac

The Digital Zoom 4 was designed for digital SLR cameras with a lens attached up to 4 1/4". Dual Foam Technology provides protection and a custom fit for digital SLR cameras. The front pocket features Tamrac's exclusive Memory & Battery Management System (patent pending), which uses red flags to identify fresh memory cards and batteries from ones that are used up.

An additional Windowpane-Mesh pocket organizes other small accessories. A smooth nylon pocket in the lid holds lens-cleaning paper.

Two zippered side pockets hold additional accessories such as a cell phone, PC card or compact card reader. Belt loops, an EasyGrip carrying handle, and shoulder strap provide convenient carrying options. Add Tamrac accessories to the Strap Accessory System (S.A.S ) attachment slots to customize the bag.

Nice bag when you only need one lens.

This bag is great. It does exactly what was promised. I leave my SLR in it even at home. The padding and safety it provides are great. The strap is very long (good for me since I'm tall). I have only one complaint, and it's not the fault of the bag. I was hoping to loop my belt through it and take some weight off my back when hiking. The bag is light enough, but my camera is not. It would take one of those wide canvas army belts to hold this thing on your waist with a full-size SLR in it. But, having had my camera flop around and hit things when I bend over, having it in this holster bag is a blessing. It stays behind me a bit better when I bend over, and protects the camera should it swing around. I'm thinking of adding a tether to tie it to my belt or a belt loop so it won't swing so freely. I may also try it on my belt again, but with the shoulder strap carrying some of the weight.
