I do agree with other reviews that the neoprene strap reduces strain on the neck. However, users should be aware that this strap cannot be used with a heavy lens such as Nikon's 18-200 zoom. The buckles that hold the strap to the camera simply will not hold this weight. I found this out the hard way when my camera dropped from my neck. Fortunately, I avoided disaster by catching it before it hit the ground. Since then I constantly check the buckles and have found that they slip all the time and need to be readjusted several times during the day.

My old Boomerang Strap had worn out...after 20 years of heavy use. I had purchased another similar neck strap...and right away I noticed it was not near as comfortable as my old boomerang. So I purchased the new boomerang....and it was sure well worth the money.

I've used the strap for 3 weeks almost every day. It is super confortable. Bye-bye stock straps!

The best strap for carrying a heavy camera around your neck. Spreads out the weight nicely. Well-made like all of Tamrac's gear.

I like keeping my camera handy and this product helps me do this. Hardly even feel pressure on my neck from the strap. Able to wear it as long as needed. Great product.

I used it to carry my 5D MK II with 24-105 mm lens attached. The strap is very comfortable, much better than the one comes with the camera. I'm a small girl. The strap is a bit too wide for my neck though.

With so much weight putting on my neck, I'm glad this strap relieves the pain. I can barely feel it with all the padding. Highly recommended!

VERY confortable after a full day of shooting. It just enbraces your neck, not try to cut trough it, like the "advertisement" original DSLR camera original straps. The neoprene confort is unbeatable, and this neoprene strap is VERY well designed. Would choose next time the all black model...The blue is a little garish, IMHO.

Have not used it a great deal yet but seems to be a huge improvement over the stock Olympus strap for the E510; even with the 70-300mm lens attached. Camera weight is NEARLY imperceptible.

Much better than standard camera strap. Leave it in the box and buy one of these Boomerang Straps. This and the N-25 look and feel great.

The padding is plenty thick enough, and stretchy but still very solid. However, the edges of it are a little rough, and I feel this could lead to chafing if used for an extended period. Also, I anticipated that the quick release would be the kind where, after popping the strap off the camera, you could snap the part still on the camera together to make a mini-handheld-strap; but it's not. For a couple bucks more, you can get one with a memory card holder, but since I shoot film, I didn't need it.

I purchased my first Tamrac Boomerang Strap over 20 years ago for a 35mm SLR. It is still in use on my DSLR. This new one was purchased for a second camera body that I just bought. I like the way the Tamrac system allows me to easily shift between strap and harness.

Great for a Pro body with a 70-200mm f/2.8 or other heavy lenses. This strap distributes the weight well and absorbs shocks.

Trecking around with a 70-200L plus 2x extender can really put a strain one's neck. The stock Canon strap was causing me serious pain on long excursions. Having used other quality Tamrac products, I decided to try their boomerang strap. Good Call! The erogonomic curve and soft but strong foam padding allow me to carry a heavy lens kit all day and not be sore all night. The quick clips are great for studio work as I can quickly remove the strap when using a tripod then just as easily re-attach when heading out in the field. Do yourself a favor and add this strap to your essential gear!

Purchased the strap prior to a trip to Mesa Verde National Park. Used the Boomerang strap almost exlusively during hikes in Mesa Verde and Colorado. The strap reduces the shock effect on the neck and camera. The quick disconnect feature allowed mounting the camera on a tripod quickly while leaving the strap in place, out of the way.

My Favorite Camera Strap

This is a wide, contoured neoprene camera strap that cushions the neck from heavy cameras. The contoured "Boomerang" shape follows the curve of the neck or shoulder while distributing the weight over a wide area. The quick-release buckles allow interchange between other Tamrac quick-release systems.
