Think Tank Features

  • Roller meets all international carry on size requirements: The Airport AirStream is the perfect sized roller for traveling Internationally or Domestically with a select amount of gear
  • TSA combination lock to lock zipper: There are many instances when photographers must leave behind some or all of their gear. It is absolutely vital that this gear be secured from theft. This is why the Airport Security's zippers have special built in combination locks
  • Front Security Cable & Lock: Front security cable & combination lock allows you to lock a laptop to the front of your roller. This lock is very effective when you are traveling with a laptop case stored in the front stretch pocket
  • Back Security Cable & Lock: Security cable & combination lock allows you to lock it to immovable objects. This security cable is very effective when you have to leave your gear for a period of time in a media room, wedding hall, hotel room, or other open area
  • Security Plate: The Security plate may allow your lost or stolen bag to be returned! Before using your bag, register your unique serial number on the website at www.thinktankphoto.com/lostandfound
  • Holds Up to a 400mm: The Airport AirStream will hold a variety of equipment including up to a 400mm lens
  • Optional Artificial Intelligence 15 or 17 laptop cases slide in front pocket: The advantage is that roller looks smaller, even when the laptop case is inside the pocket. If for some reason you do need to weigh the bag, you can remove the laptop case, making the roller lighter and smaller
  • Optional "Low Divider Set": The optional low divider set lets the lower section be 2" lower than normal, allowing for 15" computers or Cable Management 50 to lay on top
  • Replaceable wheels and protective wheel housings: If you wear out the wheels, a free kit is provided so that you can replace the wheels. The wheels being located on the very outside of the bag makes it very stable when rolled. The wheel housings are extra high, to protect your case
  • Front stretch pocket: If you are not using the front stretch pocket to hold a laptop case, it is an excellent pocket to get quick access to newspapers, paperwork and other items you need to pull out quickly
  • Front Pocket Organizer: The zippered front pocket can be used for storing items like pens, pencils, card wallets, CD's, notepads and more
  • Business card holder/top pocket: For easy identification, a business card holder is located directly under the handle. It holds quite a few cards. There is also a zippered pocket under the handle that can hold your passport and other items

Excellent very high quality roller. Met/exceeded my quality expectations. One my my main priorities was to never be in a position to have to check the bag. Was hoping it would fit under the seats of the planes I fly since overhead space oftens fills up. Took it on a (non-photograpic) business trip this past week to test it out. On an MD-80 medium size jet, it fits easily in the overhead compartments but I was not able to get it to fit under the seats due to some sort of boxes that protrude down from the underside of the seats in front of me(bummer). On a smaller Embraer 140 Jet, it will NOT fit into it's overhead bins, nor under the seats on the left side of the plane with just one row of seats. However it will fit with ease under the seats on the right side that has the double row of seats. Pulling out it's telescoping handle needs some getting used to initially. I grab it on it's sides using my two forefingers while pressing the release button with my thumb and pulling up. Handle seems sturdy enough but I (per the instructions) recommend you not lift the loaded back by the telescoping handle. Rather use the bags cloth handles. The bag has handles on three sides(including the bottom) make lifting it easy. The optional low divider set worked well and allowed me to just fit my 15" Thinkpad T400 laptop. With the included high divider set, I was able to fit my 7D with battery grip, G11, 70-200 f2.8 IS L, 24-70 f2.8L, 50 f1.8, 1.4 extender, extension tubes, 580 flash, filters, battery chargers, accessories, etc. Lastly it's wheels and bearings are very high quality like those on roller blade skates.

The perfect bag

Bought and used the bag for a trip to Germany & Austria to carry on an airplane and riverboat. The bag is built to protect your equipment and provide ease of use with wheels to boot. This bag is a must have for those who travel and need to protect their assets.

very pleased

Dividers are included, a shoulder strap comes with the laptop bag. Low dividers only needed if you have to fit the laptop bag in the case. Fits in overhead of most small jets, if not under seat works. Very pleased with this bag.

As advertized

By

I can get enough (one 5D body w 24-105, 70-200,14, 16-35, small flash, charger. Sekonic meter, 1.4x converter and my Air Book stuffs into the front flap) into this roll on bag and feel confidant that the airline will not force me to put my gear into hold baggage, even on the secondary airlines in Europe. The bag is sturdy and pulls easily which, as a compromised duffer, is very important to me. Of course the larger sizes will hold more but they won't fit in the overheads on the smaller connecting flights in Europe.

It is better than the reviews say!

By

I was nervous about it fitting on smaller commuter planes - no fear it fits under the seat on even the smaller planes. I am thrilled with this bag.

Perfect Weekender

By

from Breaux Bridge, La.  -  Career

A perfect compliment to my full size Airport Security v.2, this roller is perfect for most assignments where you know in advance what gear you will need. This unit has all of the features and refinements of its big brother as well as unparalleled build quality. I could have tried getting by with a brand of lesser quality but since I have the AS 2 as well as Think Tank's full compliment of modular components, it only made sense to pay the extra knowing that I have the very best and that it will serve me for a lifetime. What cinched the deal with Adorama was their inclusion of the Artificial Intelligence laptop bag for free. No other retailer, as far as I know, offers a deal as sweet as this!

Very Big Small Bag

By

from Pennsylvania  -  Comfort-Oriented

This is a great bag. Fits much more than you would think. I have two bodies, two long lenses, 3 short lenses and all sorts of gadgets and accessories. The only negative I would list is that it would be nice if it had skate wheels so you wouldn't necessarily need to tip it if you wanted to roll it. But this is only a minor problem with a great bag

Good Bag, a few minor flaws

By

from Winchester, MA  -  Semi-pro Photographer

I purchased the low divider set and the optional organizer bag. It provided sufficient space for all that I need except for the 500 mm lens. Dividers have proven to be less flexible than desired resulting is some wasted space. Otherwise the bag has performed well and I was able to carry my laptop, external hard drive and cables, as well as my tripod and camera gear in a very compact package. Handle seems a bit skimpy, but time will tell.

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
PAT O  Because It would fit on small aircraft
Chelle P  I get confused when reading the description anywhere...ARE the dividers included with this bag? Or do you have to buy them separately?? If not, what is the low dividers talked about for laptops? And in the reviews, it says they got a shoulder bag for their laptop with it? Is this true?
PAUL C  Yes, the standard height dividers are included, You can purchase another set of low dividers which may allow you to carry a laptop inside the case, depending on the height of your gear and how you store it, as well as the size of your laptop. I purchased the low dividers and ended up not using them because of the height of my gear and my paking style. A shoulder bag for a laptop was included with my purchase (don't know if that promotion is still on), I found that the front expandable pouch can be a bit tight when stuffing in the loaded laptop bag, but seems to work at least through airport security. You could always just slip the laptop into the front pouch without the case, and pack the shoulder bag or some other laptop sleeve in your luggage, for a more streamlined appearance. Overall, a great case for small airline overhead storage bins. My gear, as packed: Nikon D7000 with Nikon 18-200 mm VR lens attached, on RRS L-bracket, Nikon D200 body, Sigma 10-20 mm, Tamron 90 mm macro, Nikon SB-800 flash, Promote Control remote, ML-3 remote, 72 mm and 77 mm circular polarizers and neutral density filters, battery chargers, spare batteries, assorted camera and power cables, two LensPens, the D7000 manual, and some miscellaneous tripod-related hardware (e.g. hex keys).
Shopper  where is it made?
TOM C  I checked the whole bag, but I couldn't seem to find a "Made in ___" tag. So I'm not sure where it was made, but I will say whomever made it, made it like a tank.
