Think Tank V2.0 Features

  • Roller meets all USA Domestic carry on size requirements: At 9" x 14" x 22," the Airport Security roller meets most airlines' carry-on size requirements. It fits easily into overhead compartments either straight in or horizontally
  • TSA combination lock to lock zipper: There are many instances when photographers must leave behind some or all of their gear. It is absolutely vital that this gear be secured from theft. This is why the Airport Security's zippers have special built in combination locks
  • Front Security Cable & Lock: Front security cable & combination lock allows you to lock a laptop to the front of your roller. This lock is very effective when you are traveling with a laptop case stored in the front stretch pocket
  • Back Security Cable & Lock: Security cable & combination lock allows you to lock it to immovable objects. This security cable is very effective when you have to leave your gear for a period of time in a media room, wedding hall, hotel room, or other open area
  • Security Plate: The Security plate may allow your lost or stolen bag to be returned! Before using your bag, register your unique serial number on the website at
  • Holds a full DSLR kit: The design creates a very deep bottom section, so deep you can put in a 70-200 2.8 straight up and down in the bag, or a 400 2.8, 500 4, or 600mm lens with hood reversed and the leather protective cap on
  • Replaceable wheels and protective wheel housings: Wheels can be replaced from the outside of the bag with a hex key. The open design prevents pebbles and other objects from catching in the wheel
  • Emergency shoulder straps: There are circumstances, such as stairs and gravel, when a roller does not work. That's precisely why "emergency" shoulder straps are included. Although the roller is not intended to be used regularly as a backpack, the straps are there just in case
  • Monopod And Tripod Holder: Both monopods and tripods can be attached two different ways, either by putting two legs into the stretchable pocket or by using the Tripod Cup that comes with the roller
  • Seam-sealed raincover: A seam-sealed, waterproof raincover (like an outdoor jacket) is included. The expandable section fits over the Bazooka tripod holder accessory
  • Optional Artificial Intelligence 15 & 17 laptop cases slide in front pocket: The advantage is that roller looks smaller, even when the laptop case is inside the pocket. If for some reason you do need to weigh the bag, you can remove the laptop case, making the roller lighter and smaller
  • Front Pocket Organizer: The zippered front pocket can be used for storing items like pens, pencils, card wallets, notepads and more
  • Business card holder/top pocket: For easy identification, a business card holder is located directly under the handle. It holds quite a few cards. There is also a zippered pocket under the handle that can hold your passport and other items
  • Optional "Low Divider Set": The Airport Security Low Divider set can be used in place of the standard dividers. These low dividers will allow up to 17" laptops to fit inside the Airport Security

Three times a charm

This is my third roller bag but its the only one that can safely fit my D300 with batter grip, 4 lenses (85mm/1.4, 80-200mm/2.8, 17-55mm/2.8, 50mm/1.8), 4 SB-800 flashes, pocket wizards, light modifiers, grip equipment, bracket, cords, etc. . .then I can put light stands and umbrellas in the front pocket. The depth of the bag gives it its wonderful storage capacity.

Don't get me wrong this bag is amazing, great quality, fits a ton of gear. But walking through the airport with this bag you start to realize its much much larger than most carry-ons. It will fit in larger planes (737-747, ect.) But if you are on any medium size plane (even some with three seats on both sides) it has to be put in the overhead longways. Thats fine if you can get on the plane first and have the option to do so. But if you aren't in the first group or two to get on you run the risk of having to walk up and down the isle while people are still boarding looking for a space that fits this bag long ways. If you find one, it may be way in the back of the plane, if you don't, well then you may be forced to check your gear. This bag really is pushing the boundary as far as size for me, in a pinch your bag is stuck in the back of the plane with you towards the front and you have to wait for others to get off the plane before you can get to your bag. If you are cutting it close for a connection forget it, you are waiting for the next flight!

Perfection on Wheels

With a little thought you can configure this bag to hold almost anything...and then add more. It's depth is it's greatest advantage over others.

Too fragile mesh back, otherwise great b

from Northern California  -  Photo Enthusiast

Wears extremely easily. This would otherwise be a 5 star product. Yes, it's pricey. Normally, I don't mind paying more for more quality. It typically works out better overall that way. And, most of the bag is quality. Unfortunately, the mesh on the side that stays against your body is absurdly fragile. See the attached picture. I got the bag a couple of weeks ago. Finally got a chance to use it on a family vacation to Hawaii. After one week of light use, you can see extensive damage in the mesh. We just wore the typical cotton shorts, shirts, and dresses. Otherwise, it was swimwear which should be made of material even more fragile than the mesh. At most, it may have pressed against the leather of my belt, but I wore my shirts untucked so it's unlikely. The rest of the bag still looks brand new, as you would expect after only a week of light use. It's well thought out too. Much better design in all the little details than the Lowepro it replaced. However, Lowepro is far cheaper and our bags still are in great condition with basically no wear showing after years of use. This bag is great, but I really can't recommend it when you're paying that much for a bag that fragile. This would be a problem on any of their Speed Waist Pack lines or any other bag they have that has mesh on the back. I e-mailed their warranty department about it. It's not under warranty because it's damage and not a manufacturing defect. I thought it was damage too. I just thought it was abnormal that it would wear so quickly so badly. Since they feel this is "normal", I thought it was necessary to warn others how fragile this bag is.

Small, but Wow

from Sylvania, OH  -  Pro Photographer

Wow, what a bag. I've been using the Think Tank Glass Taxi backpack for years. I really like it and have carried it for weeks at a time around the world in tough situations. It has been great except I keep putting it on the ground to change lenses. Sometimes missing the shot. I was assigned to New Orleans on Halloween and I didn't want a backpack in that crowd. So I choose the Speed Freak. I used the belt strap and the shoulder strap which positioned the bag forward. Nothing could move or swing. I had fast access to my lenses (16 to 35 mm; 50mm and 70 to 200 mm) I had the 24 to 105 mm on the camera. The tight fit against my body and reverse opening lid were very secure. The "slit" zipper on the top was also very nice for secure transfer. The bag is tight for the 16 to 35 mm Canon with a shade. No room for the camera. I had the 600 flash in a side pocket and a bottle of beer in the other. (It's New Orleans on Halloween!) But I would not want to own larger bag of the same design. (too big to bend over) The waist band did give me some discomfort in my thigh muscles after several hours. But I'm old. At the airport I still had my Glass Taxi backpack with Speed Freak hanging from it. By combining the bags, I made the two into a single for TSA regulations of two carry on bags. At one point I used the bags to carry a complete Lumix GS3 kit with lenses on the street. This bag is not large enough to be the entire kit of 4 lenses, a body and flash. It is a great companion. I can't wait to use it at a wedding with just 2 lenses.

Too small for intended use

from Portland, ME  -  Photo Enthusiast

Well made case which is too small for my purpose.

Loved at first, then the feet wore out

from Charlotte, NC  -  Career

I have a lot of think tank stuff, wallets, multiple bags, two large holsters, a modular belt system/harness, and the Streetwalker HardDrive backpack. This bag is generally smart and really well designed, but after a little over a year the front rubber feet wore out so much that the front nylon part of the case began to scrape the ground and TEAR OPEN. Think Tank, WHO ACTUALLY MAKES FUN of Pelican'sLifetime Warranty in their materials, saying that they are "reasonable" actually told me that 16 months for the feet to wear almost completely away was "reasonable wear and tear." They wouldn't even SELL me a new set of feet. For a case as expensive as this, I expected better. So it's probably good for the occasional vacation traveler, but if you use it daily, it WONT HOLD UP AT ALL. Do what I did and replace it with a Pelican, whose products are pretty bomb-proof and when they do wear out they replace them with new pieces

Comfortable, well-padded belt with additional locks to prevent the belt adjustment from changing due to equipment weight.

Deceptive images for this product

from Phoenix, AZ  -  Photo Enthusiast

I purchased this product by looking mainly at the images provided. All images show the product with a harness that is not included. At least one should show it by itself so the customer knows exactly what they are getting for their $17. The product I received was way overpriced. I am hesitant at buying any product from Adorama since I cannot fully trust their advertising. Look very closely!

It's all so cracked up to be!!!

from Brooklyn  -  Comfort-Oriented

I use this bag daily to carry 2 cameras , 4 lenses a motion controller, all accessories and filters. It's durable and it's rolls very smoothly. I can get everything I need for any shoot I this bag.

Works as designed. Very comfortable.

from Los Angeles  -  Photo Enthusiast

Use to convert Urban Disguise series bags from shoulder bags to backpacks! Very comfortable when used as a backpack. Very versatile.

Good for smaller laptops

from Glendale, AZ  -  Photographer

My need is obvious by the product. Unfortunately, my 17" Dell doesn't fit well inside. The laptop folds the "walls" of shade down because it's not wide enough. I was hoping, as with my Urban Disguise, that my laptop would just barely fit but it's not even close. Unfortunately, I'll be returning it.
