Though you need a wide berth to negotiate yourself through aisles, crowds and doorways, this modular system puts all your event gear within easy reach and distributes the weight on your center of gravity and not on your back. In a backpack carrying situation, you often have to swing the bag off your back, place it on the floor or flat surface and pick out the equipment you need, mount them, put the unmounted gear back into the bag and sling it onto your back...then go and shoot. With the Think Tank Modular System I found it very easy dismount a lens [or speedlite] and drop it into an empty lens bag, grab the new lens out of it's holder, mount it and put the camera to my face AS I am making my way to the next shot position. Doing sports, weddings, or other events all day, the weight being distributed on my hips makes for a more comfortable; less burdensome day. Those who know the "pack mule" feeling will appreciate the concept and execution of this design.

YOu can never have enough camera accessories, especially bags. I find that each photo shoot requires different carrying devices. Sometimes I want it all with me sometimes I want to grab a lens quickly and not feel like I am carrying everything for no reason. Thats where these puppies come in =)I LOVE all my Think Tank bags!!!

I use this daily shooting HS sports. The individual pouches are secure but come off easily enough when I need to reconfigure the belt. It works much better when you have the belt clip in the back

I bought the Speed belt, harness and this Modular Set. I have not used the harness yet but LOVE the Modular set. A few favorites are the Large Lens drop in and Lens Changer 35 & Changer 50 plus the lightning fast. They all have pockets on the side for almost anything and you can see through them. Your lenses are well protected. Love this set. Wish I would have bought this Think Tank System a long time ago instead of going through many camera bags trying to hike around the National Parks carrying my heavy equipment with me. I thought I had to be a pro photographer to use this but no more. With back issues this is the best system out there and you don't get tired. Wow! I am super happy. Another great thing is you can leave your camera lenses in the bags and transport them. They are well protected. Then just change up to the belt what you will need for that day or hike in my case. This works just perfect. I am almost 60 years old so for all you gals this is great. I guess it just depends on what you are looking for. My main concern was comfort and ease of use to my camera equipment. This fit the bill perfectly.

When you purchase get wide belt and shoulder harness and your equipment will feel totally weightless. I carry 2 lens, filters, flash, and water, and it handled everything great. Easy access to equipment. Great purchase !!

I purchased the ThinkTank Modular 6-piece kit with the Belly Dancer harness in hopes of easing the load for wedding and sports coverage. Over my thirty years in the biz, I've tried all kinds of options for carrying eqipment. This combination is the best I've used. Very impressive materials and workmanship solid construction. First day out was an all-day 11 hour wedding. Of course I was tired at the end of the day but my back and shoulder fatigue was greatly reduced. The Belly Dancer was easy to adjust, if my shoulders were tired, I loosened the shoulder straps to place more weight on my hips, when the hips got tired, I tightened the shoulder straps to place more weight on the shoulders. I was worried I went with a belt that was too light for the work load and had a feeling I would have to upgrade to one of the heavier belts ... as it turned out ... it is just right. Big plus, was everything I needed was within reach and no bag or heavy holster swaying with each step ... and unlike other waist belt options, with a little slide of a pouch or to, I could sit comfortably while still wearing the rig. All-in -all ... avery sound investment.

Think Tank makes some awesome products. I use this when I'm shooting lots of different subjects that require lens changes. The speed belt (required for this) is very comfortable, and you can setup the modules to suit your needs. Much easier to get to your stuff than any backpack or sling type bag.

The ThinkTank Modular belt system is the third belt system that I have used. The ThinkTank belt and pouches are superior in build quality and functionality for a variety of tasks. I am using this system while photographing football, dance and cheer at a local community college.
