About Think Tank Retrospective 10

The Think Tank Retrospective 10-BK Small Shoulder Bag features simple exterior, allowing photographers to inconspicuously blend into their shooting environment. The softness and flexibility of the Retrospective 10 easily allows a pro size DSLR to be carried in the main compartment with a lens attached, facing downward. Within the Retrospective 10's main compartment, are two collapsible nylon pockets (one on each side). These pockets are tall enough to fit most flash units or other accessories. A hook-and-loop strap can be used to secure the contents or it can be tucked into the pocket for quicker access.

The Retrospective 10 has an organizer pocket inside the main compartment. It gives photographers enough space for small, but significant, accessories necessary for a successful shoot. The expandable pocket(s) on the front of the Retrospective 10 can be used to carry a spare pro size DSLR body or other photo gear. A small hook-and-loop flap folds over the top of the pocket to secure its contents. The Retrospective 10 has only one expandable pocket on the front of the bags.

Simply release the sound silencer panels and cover the hook-and-loop strips to prevent the hook-and-loop from contacting. A clear business card pocket, for identification and spare cards, is also located under the main flap. The "sound silencers" underneath the main flap are used to suppress the loud tearing sound hook-and-loop makes while opening and closing the bag. Hook-and-loop panels securely fastens the main flap down, keeping valuable photo equipment hidden from view. A wide storage pocket is located on the back of the Retrospective 10. This pocket can be used to carry magazines, newspapers, or other paperwork, depending on the size of the bag. Webbing loops on both sides of the Retrospective 10 can be used to carry some smaller pouches on the bag.

Alternatively, a carabiner (not included) can be used to quickly clip accessories to the sides of the bag as well. Side pockets on both sides of the Retrospective 10 can be used to carry smaller water bottles and will even fit some shoe-mounted strobe units. A fully adjustable, canvas strap is integrated into this Retrospective bag. For extra comfort, a breathable cushioned pad slides along the strap for optimum positioning. Sections of non-slip material on the pad helps keep the entire strap on your shoulder. The Retrospective 10 has a removable carrying handle for convenience. The seam-sealed rain cover included with the Retrospective 10 was specially designed to keep the carrying handle and integrated shoulder strap outside the rain cover without compromising protection from the elements.

Perfect. It doesn't get any better.

I won't go over all the specs; the item description is accurate. However, and being a Domke fan/owner I thought I'd never hear myself say this -- this is the best camera bag you can purchase in this size range. When you receive the bag and begin going through all the features, you start to wonder why every other bag doesn't incorporate the same thoughtful design. This bag was, most assuredly, designed by an avid photographer. Excellent job Think Tank -- we'll do busniess again...

Great small bag for SLR

By

Have numerous Think Tank bags. Bought these bags as a gift for a friend and for myself. Same professional quality and look in a smaller, more compact bag. Sale price was the hook, though.

Extremely comfortable & practical

Exactly what I have been looking for over the years! After purchasing over 10 bags finally I found the one that works for me 100%! I read about some complaints about the shoulder strap being too short. Well, they must have changed that. The strap I received is plenty long (I am 6'2") to go on the shoulder or across. I use it with a Nikon D750 with 28-300 lens mounted plus additional lenses (Nikon 24mm and Nikon 50mm) and an iPad. I must say that I am very happy with my purchase.

A very nice camera bag

By

I have been looking for a camera bag that won't tell everyone that I have expensive camera and lenses in it. This bag is what I need. This bag is well built and looks good. There are also enough inside pockets for some personal items. I don't like to have a boring black color. So I decided to go for blue slate color. However, I was not sure about my choice when I place my order. I was very glad the color looked perfect to me when I received the bag.

Absolutely love this bag!

By

The interior accessories pocket is tight and not very deep compared to the Retrospective 20. If you use a 70-200mm sparingly (aka not needing it as a primary lens) then this is the bag for you. If your primary lens is a 70-200mm f2.8 or f4; recommend that you use the Retrospective 20. The Retrospective 10 will be a bit shallow and tight for a mounted 70-200mm.

Great bag

By

Love the style, construction and utility. Holds my for full kit of D7000, N80-200, Tokina11-16 and 35/1.8. Probably could get another lens and flash in. Oh, plus accessories (card, battery, pen, paper...) Tried for a while and returned with Adorama's fabulous return policy. Don't know how durable, but seems like it'll last even with average "abuse." Getting the 7. Wanted to carry iPad or small laptop occasionally.

Good for the streets

By

It's really great bag and tough as nails. I care the bag with me everywhere I go and even to work. There isn't even a lose thread anywhere. I normally a Low Pro user but heard the rage on Think Tank and had to give em a try. Not disappointed at all.

Great bag--consider the raincover

By

It's a great shooter's bag until you put the raincover on; with that on it's a storage bag. The raincover takes a while to get on too...so you better put it on early. It doesn't cover the back of the bag. Many users on forums (POTN) have thanked TT customer service. Recommend the bag, provided you consider the raincover and how it changes the way the bag functions.

Love this bag!

Great bag for camera, 1 extra lens, flash and accesories. love the "worn" canvas look. Positioning the internal dividers is a pain.

Think Tank does it again

By

I have a Think tank Retrospective 30 that I use when traveling on a plane. I needed something smaller for going out and shooting around town. This fit what I needed. I can fit 3 lenses in it and my camera body, plus all needed extras. I recommend this bag to anyone wanting something that doesn't call out, I am a Camera bag.
