Shopper : does this camera come in its original packaging?DAVID W : When I bought the camera it came in the standard retail package. JOHN C : Yes it does, just like you would see in any other store that sells the unit, I've shopped and know what the original packaging looks like and theres no difference Fausto R : Yes, it comes fully packaged from GoPro. A cardboard box for all the wiring and accessories and a clear acrylic box for the camera.Glen H : This is a new item and should ship as packaged by the manufacturer.
Shopper : is this camera white, if so, is there any difference from the silver one?AMY L : I've owned four of these cameras and they are all a light silver color. I've never seen a white one. Be aware that this is the GoPro HD Hero, not the Hero2 which was recently released. The Hero2 has 11MP compared to the 5MP of this one, and a few other upgrades.ANDREW L : Camera I received from this site was silver. Not sure that they make a white one. I think maybe the color is off a bit in this picture.LINDSAY M : no, it is silverANDREW M : No, the camera is not white. The photograph of the product is a little bleached. It comes in only one color - that silver/grey you mentioned. BTW, my 16 year old (now 17) got one last Christmas with mostly his own money and has had an absolute blast with it. Combine this with a good video editing software (like PowerDirector 10) and add some music, and the kid has cranked out a couple of fun videos and posted them to YouTube and Facebook. He has done two skiing vids and a beach video of him and his pals just goofing around. I told him "no skiing off cliffs!" On balance, the reviews are accurate. Great little camera and takes stills, too.

We are still getting acquainted with this product but we like what we have seen so far. It takes a little time to digest the instructions and work out things like "how to work without a view finder or LCD screen." The camera is so compact and light, it is a wonder.

Awesome, durable, fun camera.

Possibilities are endless. Great picture quality. Super easy to capture outdoor action and fun. Only minor complaints: some kind of decoder wheel should be included to decipher all the cryptic setting codes. Setting up mounting angles requires some trial and error since there is no real time display.

Great Picture

We use this camera at the dirtbike track and so far it has withstanded water, rocks, dirt, and crashes. This is a tough camera with a great picture. Sound quality is great too! It does not have a wind noise in the background. All I hear is the sound of the dirtbike. It's a great camera!

Great Camera!

We ride dirtbikes on the weekends and crashes tend to happen from time to time and this camera has held up quite well! The sprinklers are turned on to wet the track and with the underwater housing the camera stays dry as can be, but does not taken away from the sound quality at all. The HD quality on this camera is excellent! Overall I would definitely recommend this camera!

GO PRO is fine for playing with!

This is definitely a POV (point of view) camera, and as long as that is not forgotten, the GO PRO will fit the bill. You cannot get the same quality as you would from a Sony HDR / SR / CX line of camcorder, but you can't fit a Sony in such a small space, or take it down 180 ft. without an expensive $800 plus housing. But you can take the GO PRO.

Very versatile!

Keep the instructions close at hand for the first while to help navigate the cryptic menu for settings. Otherwise, a great little take anywhere HD camera that is waterproof and capable of recording high-speed (60fps) action.

GoPro's HD Helmet HERO is the world's highest performance wearable 1080p HD video and still photo camera. Professional quality 1080p / 960p / 720p HD resolutions record at 30 and 60 frames per second (60 fps in 720p). Record up to 2.5 hours on a single charge and up to 9 hours total on a 32GB SD card (not included).
