The Avid Media Composer 5.5 (Mac/Win) with Mojo SDI is a professional hardware/software nonlinear editing system that provides a comprehensive and powerful set of creative editing tools and direct SD input/output. Experience faster editing - plus digital capture and output - with Media Composer 5.5 & Mojo SDI. The hardware supplies SD-SDI input/output, analog video output, as well as reference sync input for timecode.

Media Composer 5.5 continues to natively support RED and QuickTime formats (including Apple ProRes and .mov files captured by Canon's DSLRs) and Canon's 4:2:2 MPEG-2 codec. There's also direct AVCHD import and expanded support for Matrox MXO2 Mini external monitoring. You can edit practically any tapeless format instantly, without the need for transcoding and edit mixed resolutions and formats on the same timeline.

There's a huge collection of built-in 2D and 3D effects and transitions as well as tools for motion tracking, keying, compositing, title creation, color correction and editing & mixing audio. With Media Composer 5.5 you can execute effects, transitions and color correction with more direct control. Introduced for this version is the ability to manipulate transitions in the timeline directly with the expanded Smart Tool.

Also expanded is support for external hardware such as I/O devices from Avid and other manufacturers, as well as control surfaces to help you edit more comfortably and efficiently. Ideal for offline, file-based and mobile editing, Media Composer 5.5 is used for editing films, TV programs, short-form videos and pretty much any other media you can come up with. Mac or PC, in the studio or in the field - edit where you want and how you want, with the most powerful editing system around.

The Mojo SDI is a portable digital nonlinear accelerator created to work with Avid software on either a Mac or a PC. Connected to your computer via FireWire 400, the Mojo SDI features component, composite, S-Video and SD-SDI input/output as well as genlock support. Digital and analog audio support is also included, allowing you to connect four channels via of AES/EBU via BNC, four channels of line analog via RCA and two channels of digital via optical S/PDIF. The Mojo SDI is compact and portable, allowing you to take it on location, while remaining powerful enough for use as the core of your video editing suite.
