Good basic wireless mic system for DSLR video. Easy to set up and use. The instructions aren't too clear about the handheld mic which does not need batteries as it plugs into the receiver.

Th lav is a great budget item with good sound, and reliable. Plug into my H1 recorder and sync audio in post, or directly into my D7000. Good audio definately improves the video. Currently shopping for a shotgun mic for when a lav is not appropriate with Azden and Rode on my short list. Haven't used the handheld as not typical of my shoots, but nice to have. The major shortcoming is that you need to go to Radio Shack and purchase a mono to stereo 3.5mm plug. By definition, all lavs record in momo since is attached to a single person, however, Azden is the only one that I know of that doesn't include a stereo plug. The difference is, mono record on the right channel only and playback is through the right speaker, where a stereo plug records the same audion on both the left and right tracks and playback is through both speakers. Overall, a nice budget lavalier set.

I use it for weddings with no problems. I hook up the groom and it picks up the minister and the bride - no problems yet. Also use it outside in remote nature shots to pick up critter sounds. Low cost - works great - if it breaks - I'll get another one.

Read all the hype and good reports for this wireless microphone but I own some really expensive wireless systems and was skeptical of the quality on this price unit. I was very pleasantly surprised. Used it for 'B' roll audio and it surpassed my expectations. I'm ordering another one for a spare.

Great set in proportion to the price - but don't expect a very clear and detailed sound quality.A short test-video i made of the set:[@]Even though I speak a lot of informal danish in the video, I hope English-speaking can use this as a quite usefull test recording.

I have been a professional stringer for national news. Shooting my own projects are just as important to me. Add this to any camera that has a mini mic jack and your interviews will jump to another level. You can also take a line feed out of a mixer board with the transmitter using an inexpensive 1/4" to mini adapter. This is not my opinion. This is a fact. Spend the money if you want to do it right.
