Kramer Electronics Kramer VP-725XLA ProScale Presentation Scaler/Switcher, 720p/1080i/1080p Resolution

The Kramer 725XLA ProScale Presentation Scaler/Switcher (21-Input), with balanced stereo audio, is used to upscale or downscale 5 (4x1) independent video sections, composite, s-Video (Y/C), component video (YUV), HDMI, computer graphics video, and JPEG files to a selectable computer graphics video or HDTV output resolution. This output signal is available simultaneously in 3 formats such as HDMI, 15-pin HD or 5 BNC. It supports HDTV output resolutions up to 720p, 1080i, and 1080p.

Embedded with the HQV (Hollywood Quality Video) processing, the ProScale Presentation Scaler/Switcher (21-Input) offers high-quality de-interlacing (including 3:2 & 2:2 pull down), noise reduction, and scaling performance for standard-definition and high-definition signals. With the FTB (Fade-thru-Black) switching technology, the switcher offers smooth transition between sources by fading out 1 video input to black, and the new input fades in from black. The output signal provides constant sync so the display never glitches, and allows for smooth operation.

Being HDCP (High-definition Content Protection) compliant, the 21-Input Scaler/Switcher prevents unauthorized tampering of HDMI output, and transfers signals to the preferred HDMI output. The device is HDTV compatible and has a single USB input for importing JPEG files.

The ProScale Presentation Scaler/Switcher features a PiP (picture-in-picture) inserter that uses the K-IIT XL image insertion technology to view video and graphic sources simultaneously on the same window as picture-in-picture or a split screen. It allows you to insert and align any video source next to a computer graphics video source or vice versa, with window positioning and sizing controls.

Using the Projector Anywhere technology, the switcher offers horizontal and vertical geometry controls to compensate for off-axis projector placement. Multiple formats such as Auto, NTSC (3.58/4.43), PAL (M/N/60), and SECAM are supported by the 21-Input ProScale Presentation Scaler/Switcher. The 6 switchers in 1 device has 5 dedicated signal formats, 4x1 composite, 4x1 s-Video (Y/C), 4x1 component (RGB/YUV), 4x1 computer graphics (15-pin HD), 4x1 HDMI and 1 21x1:3 scaled output.

In addition to 23 computer graphics output resolutions, you get 4 user-customizable output resolutions with selectable refresh rates. The device offers multiple color space with RGB or YUV output. It has 1 balanced stereo audio input for each of the 16 analog video inputs, 1 balanced stereo audio output for all 4 dedicated analog video formats, and 1 for the scaled output. The device also embeds audio onto the scaled HDMI output.

In addition, the scaler provides support for mic input for condenser, dynamic with talk over, mix and override controls. Audio Level Controls can be used to adjust each input and output. The ProScale Presentation Scaler/Switcher can be controlled using the on-screen menus via the front panel buttons, or remotely via RS-232 serial commands, Ethernet, or IR remote. It has a standard 19" rack mount size and fits 3U rack space.
