Simple, no-frills
As a private investigator, my photography is my livelihood. The subjects that I photograph do not pose or sit still so I can get that "perfect shot"; I must be ready for any situation with multiple camera mounting solutions.
Since I use a multitude of tripods, monopods and various other camera mounting systems, I need a "universal" mount to quickly move my cameras from one mount to another. The Sima SVR QuickKonnect is perfect for this. I have one on every camera system I own. I am able to move a camera from one mount to another in just a few seconds and can change from one camera to another quickly as well.

Is what it is
I actually bought this hoping I could use it as a quick release for a DVR camera mounted on my car windshield. But this is basically just about as large as my DVR camera itself plus it coveres the usb power plug on the camera. So I coudn't use it. But I will keep it on some of my smaller tripods that I use for travel for a quick release for my camera. It appears to be studry and the release mechanism works easily.
