Huan P  Can I change the head of this tripod replace it by a ball head?
CHARLES T  The ball head on this tripod can be removed and replaced with a new head as long as it has a female 3/8-16 mounting thread. To remove the head you may need to loosen the three Allen set screws in the bottom of the base that locks the head. You will need a Allen hex key. Then unscrew the existing head by turning counterclockwise looking down from the top. Would not attempt to install a larger head that the one supplied, it's not too bad for the price and intended use of this tripod. Maybe a better quality head in the same relative size?
