Vanguard tripod

The first time I took it out on a windy day I was nervous it would blow over. It did not look sturdy, but after using it I think my concerns were proven not to be the case. It did seem to be fine.

Vanguard is the "Alta-mate"

I love this thing for quick easy jobs. It's probably not the best if you want longer exposures or if there is wind or if you're using a very long lens. I use it with a 14-24 fixed 2.8 and it's fine for most small jobs.

The Vanguard Alta 203AP Aluminum Alloy Tripod is designed to meet the requirements of the most demanding photographer, the Alta+ aluminum alloy tripod offers a magnesium alloy canopy and head. The legs can all be adjusted individually to 3 different angles (25° 50° 80°) for uneven terrain and low angle shooting.

The dual locking safety mechanism and anti-shock ring prevent the damage that can be caused by camera vibration and will eliminate any worries you might have about your equipment falling from the tripod during transportation.
