Very sturdy and nice. Only complaint is buttons and levers are sticky. In the price range I am happy. I have a 5d mark iv.. holds it well. Got a stone bag for if I want to walk away. Heavy but not to heavy except for hiking.

it was bad from the word "order" paid for 2 day shipping got part of the delivery on the second day got the rest on the third day...ordered a 65 inch 3 section (legs) as you can see its only 2 sections. love the bait and switch move...(not really) be a long time before I order thru these people again...

The ability to rotate the central column sold me (along with the price) on this tripod. I also like the snap open/close on the legs.I always have had issue with the Gitzo like rotate open/close. Kept on trying but life is too short. I can see open/close with this setup and everything happens a lot faster at least for me. Wish? A little shorter. (I believe there is a 4 segment leg version that should cut down on the length. [but I'm keeping this guy]) A little lighter (but not at the exponential carbon cost) Extension accessory for the central column (sell it with weight bag)

This is my first tripod. It does everything that I want it to do. Hold my camera steady, quit to use, and very flexible to position. I am very happy with this purchase and would highly recommended it.

I haven't had a chance to use this in the field, but it seems to have all the functions I need and the cost was reasonable - especially with the $30 rebate. Of course I would like it to be lighter. My main complaint is that the instruction manual was too brief, very poorly written, and confusing. Not very helpful in understanding how to use this tripod.

I bought this tripod for macro work. I like how easy it is to bring up the center column and swing to the side. But be careful on the length when pulling up the bar because the camera will make it heavy on one side to cause a tip over. Overall works great.

This tripod works great for photographing papers, documents, books, objects, etc. where you shoot straight down at the object. It is so much easier than taping something to a wall or surface or trying to hold the object up and shooting parallel to the ground. Of course you can use it for almost most any other tripod work, but shooting perpendicular to the ground, is where I find it greatest advantage.

The tripod is sturdy and will support my Canon 5D with no problem. It is a bit heavy but the carrying case will help to pack it around.

I purchased this tripod thinking it was the one with the variable angle center column (totally my mistake). So, I was a little disappointed at first. However, I am fully content after having used it. This is my first fully functioning tripod and it works great. I just got back from several days in Oregon and I put it to work quite a bit while I was there and it did not disappoint at all. Legs extend quickly and with just the right amount of tension so they don't fully collpase suring small adjustments. I was very light even while carrying it during a 5 mile walk through and around downtown Portland.

Using this mostly for video sales training. The usability is very good, fluid motion and angle adjustments were perfect for our needs. Best of all the price is affordable and fit all of our needs.

I was worried about height, but this tripod is more than adequate for my 5'9" frame. My favorite thing though by far, is the center column! I love how it allows me to position the camera at so many different angles. The only thing I wish was better was the instructions and labeling of the various knobs, etc. Still an A+ in my book though!

My first "real" tripod. My others have been El Cheapo and good only for use on even, solid ground. Haven't stress-tested it yet, but I'm looking forward to doing so soon. Based on my playing with it so far, I have a great deal of confidence it will suit my needs.

I bought this tripod as a replacement for my Cannon tripod. The Vanguard Alta Pro 263AT was recommended by the Adorama staff. Thank you Adorama for a great product.

Quality of this tripod is really poor. After 1.5 years of light use locks that keep legs at the angle are no longer working. Locks that tighten legs sections hardly working. Central column when in the used in horizontal position is wobbly to the point of being useless.

This is the most versatile tripod I have seen. It can be adjusted for any conceivable position. The leg widths can be adjusted to three different degree's. Add a ballhead and there is no limit to what angle or direction you can shoot. The only thing to make this item better is to be made of Carbon Fiber.

Bought this based on the reviews and budgetary concerns. I think this was great value for the money. The "adjustable" center post is great for macro and/or weird angles that may be needed for an off-camera flash. It is "heavyish" but I don't take five mile hikes with my tripod. I combined this with a Vanguard SBH 50 ballhead and it holds my Nikon D300 with any lens set up. I am very pleased with this purchase and would not hesitate to recommend it.

Used this for the first time on a blustery 21 degree f night; photographing the Boston harbor skyline. Had it set up then broken down in seconds. Three padded legs came in very "handy" when I had to take gloves off. I actually used both the rubber feet and one spike at the same time due to ground conditions. Very impressed with the stability for HDR bracketing.

I purchased this with the PH-22 pan head for stability in panoramic and tilt-shift shots. Wow! Construction, fit, and finish are immaculate. It is smooth and quick to adjust. Comes with a nice zippered case and a stone bag. Rock solid.

I just received this. I purchased the SBH200 $59.00 also by Vanguard and they are both very well built. I mounted a D50 w/28-200 lens on it and it is stable in all positions.. and there are very few positions it cannot do. The horizontal feature is outstanding, you can pivot it to all angles as well as slide the bar and stop it at any point..there are no prestops. I holds very solid even with the weight of my set up. I highly reccomend both. Excellent value on the ball head as well. Comparable to the Gitzo in the $150 range.
