Use for great deal of high school sports photography...have had 5 different monopods in the last 3 years...this one is best by far.

I bought it when it went on sale. Could not be happier. I sometimes shoot at slower shutter speeds that don't quite justify the bulk of a tripod but too slow for handheld. This works perfectly.

Works as advertised, except for tool wrench supplied. The "tongs" are not narrow enough to reach as deep as needed to work with the 3/8 inch threaded adapter. Everything else is great. Very strong. You'll need strong hands to tighten/loosen the leg grips to get them to lock and hold anything heavy. This might improve with time.

This monopod along with the ball head I got with it, has made it much easier to use my Nikon D90 and Sigma 120-400 lens. I use it mostly for photographing birds and have taken it to a rodeo and the zoo with good results. The camera and lens are heavy for me and I would think twice about taking it places until I got this monopod, which handles the weight with ease.

This is one of the best built monopods for the money. Extremely strong and the legs do not rotate which makes for quick extension and locking into place. I think the ball joint on the foot is a great feature to maintain stability no matter what the surface. I also have the SB100 head which is fantastic. Dual bubble levels make sure the shot is always straight.quick release is a great feature to allow me to shift from monopod to hand held in an instant.

The Vanguard Elite CP-324 Carbon Fiber Monopod has unique foot design. From 1/4" change to 3/8" for medium format equipment. It is convenient and easy to change the panhead and camera. Spike foot with rubber suction cup. It has a plastic buckle to adjust the handle strap.
