Meant specifically for the shooting bench, but the optics are so good, I may use it for stargazing. Two other shooters saw the unique design and came over and tried it. They both remarked that it beat their spotting scopes hands down. Take your time and follow the directions on setting up the first time. The eyepiece rotates, but it is stiff so don't force it. Finally, the price I got at Adorama was outstanding. I searched many days looking for a good deal on a decent spotting scope. Vanguard optics are amazing.

I used this scope to site in my .50 caliber Thompson Center Encore black powder rifle at 100 yards. It really reduces the amount of time by not having to walk out and look at each shot. I fired 5 shots before I was able to hit about 2" above the bullseye. I set a personal distance record this year for knocking down a buck. 185 yards. It was worth the $$$$$.
