Usefull for quick moves
Already have one for my scope that fits well on my Velbon tripod.. Needed a second one for my camera.
Theese quick release plates are very useful when you need to interchange materiels (camera, scope, binoculars.. etc)
I Wonder if this model exists with a longer screw in order to screw tighter?

Solid, and made of metal, not plastic
If you have a Sherpa, and need the QR base, this is it. It's strong and solid, and body doesn't move on it. The only thing I think could be better would be a way to align it on your body, but really that would be just a bonus, and not necessary. I keep it on my body about 99% of the time. It sit firmly and securely in the QR base.

It's OK but,
I was researching Arca Swiss compatibility of quick disconnects and bought a number of different brands. This one was resonably priced , well made, and very functional. My only complaint is that some other have the mounting screw adjustable by 1/2 to one inch, which can be a big help if you are trying mount mismatched components.

This plate should come with the velbon tripods, it's crazy to have to turn around and buy it!
