Wasted $6.00 on Ebay ordering a Chinese adapter, based on what the auction said. Then I saw the link/ ad to Adorama. Thanks to a reviewer who purchased this adapter for the same model Velbon S-6000 tripod like mine. Works perfect!

The product is good, but the Velbon 9000 takes the QB-4W. I noticed this after I ordered the QB-5W platform, and it did not fit. The stand itself tells you what quick release is needed. The number is hidden under the quick release leaver. Turn the lever, and you'll see it. It would have been nice for Velbon to print the number in a more visible spot. Anyway, now have the QB-4 platform, and it works great. By the way, Adorama, was excellent in its service with the ordering and reordering. Thank you Adorama.

One note of caution. Before you buy, be absolutely positive the bottom part fits into your tripod head. Sizes vary The adapter does exactly what it is supposed to do.

The QB-5W plate and the DF-60 tripod are an excellent buy. This is an additional quick-release platform I bought for my second camera body. I needed something sturdy, relatively light, nice looking, but not costly. This tripod exceeded my expectations. My only wish is that the sure-grip tilt and pan control handle was slightly better positioned for easier viewfinder access.
