I obtained the tripod slightly used, but without the plate. Received quickly from Adorama. Functions as expected and I would recommend to anyone who needs another plate for their Velbon tripod.

The old tri-pod has a new life
I purchased a Tri-pod that was missing the quick
Release. I believed that I lost my money and that
the tri-pod was to old to find the part that would
restore it back to a working order..The part wasn't very costly and the original part after I
ordered it ,arrived with in a week.It works fine

Great quick release
Using a tripod with a quick release plate allows versatility in shooting in all kinds of different conditions. Having a stable platform to shoot a subject and then having the ability to quickly remove the camera to catch that shot that happens somewhere other than where you are pointing is a real plus. Having the plate mounted to the camera for fast attachment to the tripod makes set up for pictures a breeze. Having more than one quick release allows the use of one tripod for several cameras.
