This scope is mounted on a Ruger American . 270 and I think it is a great match. I also have a 4-12x Crossfire, this 4x16 is even better, with the 30mm tube and 50mm objective this scope gathers much more light and you can see the difference in the morning and evening. The range rotation on the bell is a little tight, but that is probably a good thing so it doesn't slip when you are humping up and down hills with the rifle on a sling and your arm/elbow hugging the rifle and scope. The reticle is crisp, it would be great to have an illuminated version of this same scope but this scope is still great as is. I don't know that you will find a better value than the Crossfire scopes.

It does what I expect a cheap scope to do. It works decent, it gets a little blurry around the outside, it doesn't have any frills, it isn't the clearest scope, but it gets the job done

Great scope, I have it mounted on a savage axis 30-06. Great clarity and durability you expect from any vortex scope. My new go to budget scope for any new rifle. Capable of shooting upwards of 300yds.

This glass has been excellent. Works the way it should and I've put it through the elements. The reason for the 4/5.. The adjustments have play in them. I understand that this is a lower level scope, but they're may be too much play. Upon initial movement of the magnification ring I heard gas leak out. Maybe it was overcharged, who knows. The scope runs great on my kids 22. Added a quick ring adjustment and they nor I have any complaints.

Perfect pick for indoor Ruger 10/22. Only 25 yards but we're having a blast. Cristal clear even with old style range lighting.

This scope is an excellent valve. The optics are clear and the magnification and field of view are ideal if you are hunting game at a greater distance. This will make a great pronghorn scope, but can quickly dialed in if you get lucky and find an animal in close range. I have had great success with multiple vortex products. The warranty is excellent and their products withstand the harsh environments I hunt in.

This is a great product for what it is. Set it up on a 350 Legend for deer hunting and it has done well. Set the expectations correctly and you will be pleased.

Installed this on a big bore air rifle and works great. In fact my dad shot it and said it is much clearer then the scope on his that cost substantially more

I originally bought this scope for the warranty for going hunting in Montana. But what really impressed me was it's brightness in low light situations. I had to swap out my rifle on a bear hunt because competitor's scope on my other rifle was not bright enough for me to make a clean shot on a bear at dusk. This scope is the only reason that my bear hunt was a success! I would 100% recommend this scope.

For the money, this optic is hard to beat. I put this on my AR-10 and it performs flawlessly. Obviously if you want a ton of features, this isn't the optic for you. But if you're looking for an optic with pretty good optical clarity, no noticeable fisheye, an adequate reticle, this scope will work for you.

I bought this several years ago, for my Savage model 111 30.06. Since that time, it has also been on an Ishapore .308/7.62x51 ...and it has helped me harvest 2 Cow Elk. The first time I had it installed when I purchased it...the second, I was in a hurry and slapped it on the Ishy...ran out to the desert and sighted it in at 100 yards within a few rounds...nothing fancy. I would like to thank Vortex, you make an awesome scope. I retire in just a few days from the Army...31 years...and have already made plans to attach it to my M1 Garand, and go for a Bull! Again...thanks!

So I have had this scope mounted on my ruger American ranch rifle, chambered in .450 bushmaster. LOVE the clarity. Purchased this scope because on the generous field of view. Only downfall is I CANNOT locate information for yardage info for the circles below the centerline like you could find from other competitors, such as nikon. I would like to have capabilities to 300 yards, but not looking forward spending excess ammo to identify them. Will update my review when this information is readily available.

Picked this scope up at a great price. Been using it with a Ruger 10/22 to shoot targets. Been very happy with the results.

As the title states, I gave up on the Crossfire 2 after it went back and was repaired,, broke, went back and was replaced, broke, went back and was replaced... The last time they claimed I over tightened the screws, even though I used 1 in-lb shy of the recommended pressure that time. It was placed every time on top of a Ruger American 30-06. Pencil barrel, decent recoil, but something my 140 lb wife loved to shoot because it didn't hurt to shoot. Each time it lasted less than 100 rounds. If you are planning on buying a Vortex, get into the HS/PST line and don't waste your time with this level. This is not up to snuff for a hunting rifle. Luckily at the time I had yet to get into hunting. Didn't help my equipment couldn't survive range trips in padded cases. I sold the optic a few years ago, bought a competitor for that rifle and didn't look back. For my other rifles I have had great luck with the discontinued PST series. Weight is a concern now for me now that I actually hunt, and their old PST's were great weight/performance ratio optics. As always the reason I gave them another chance was the warranty at the time was unbeatable. Lucky for me, I have yet to have to use the warranty on HS/PST/Diamondback series.

This scope is vary nice. It is perfect for the job. Durable, powerful, life time warranty. The lenses are always clear and never fog up. They are also waterproof. Vortex is number one and a go to for any job.

This is by far the best scope I’ve ever owned. I have had this scope for several years and I wouldn't trade it for any of the other brands out there.

You can make big things happen when you take aim behind the Vortex Optics Crossfire II 4-12 x 50 AO Riflescope, Dead-Hold BDC Reticle, MOA (CF2-31023). Built to exceed the performance standards of similarly riflescopes, the Crossfire II is standing by, ready and more than willing to assist you with filling that tag.
With its fully multi-coated optics for optimum light transmission and a fast-focus eyepiece for quick target acquisition, the Crossfire makes quick work of dialing in for the shot that counts. The Crossfire II 4-12 x 50 AO Riflescope has low profile turrets that are less susceptible to accidental impact damage and reset turrets, that allow re-indexing of the turret housing to zero after sighting in the riflescope - generally requires use of a coin or wrench.
This riflescope comes with Adjustable Objective (AO) that uses an adjustment mechanism on the objective lens to fine-tune focus for the purpose of reducing parallax shooting error. The Dead-Hold BDC Reticle helps eliminate guesswork on hold-over and windage corrections. It is good for hunting/shooting at varying ranges where estimating hold-over is a concern.
The solid one-piece aircraft-grade aluminum alloy construction of the Crossfire II riflescope is outstanding in strength, rugged and shockproof. Neutral pressure nitrogen purging guarantees waterproofing and fog proofing that withstands the elements at any elevation.
