This thing is so sweet. I cannot believe the difference in holding my glasses with my hands vs. using this mount. It works very well for me. I have mine setup on a window mount with a quick release, though with this design it's not need unless your going to want to switch to your spotting scope. This is actually a two piece deal when put together, the glasses come off the stud for the plate on the tripod/window mount. This is very nice if your not going far to spot another area or if your like me and don't want to direct your attention to everyone around. Seems like if you get your spotting scope out people have to be right there looking at what you are. With this you can just whip your glasses off the mount and put set them to the side and leave the mount. Sure they might see a mount but probably won't thing much of it. When you bring out the spotter they have to see why. Even with your glasses it's not near as noticeable as a scope. I though I was fairly steady freehanding my glasses till I got this, might not help that I like my coffee while hunting and have a bit to much leading to a slight case of the jitters. Also it helps to reduce fatigue from holding your glasses up all day, that way when you do have to freehand, your arms are not tired. I'm telling you, if you have never tried one of these you have no idea what your glasses are capable till you try it. Another thing you can do like I have, is to use one kind of quick release plate for your spotting scope, binoculars, and camera. Then put mounts on your tripod and window mount to accept them, that way everything interchange's from vehicle travel to foot travel. My next thing will be a new window mount. I just have a cheapo but it does the job for now. I usually don't do review's but I love this little gismo. Don't think about it, try it and you won't regret your decision!

Jim White from Williams AZ invented and made these for many years in his shop, looks like Vortex bought the system after Jim passed. I purchase from Jim 20 years ago, use the Unidapter on my Swarovski 15x56 and now on my Razor 18x56 UHD's, Manfrodo head on a Cabellas carbon fiber tripod. Works well on the Bogpod with camera adapter also, Rock solid and after a lot of use the Unidapter still holds steady, quick set up on the tripods.

This works great for my Vortex Pro GT tripod and Vortex Fury 5000HD range finders. I cannot wait to pit this to use on my Pronghorn hunt this fall. I chose this adapter over the cheaper one because it was smaller and I am glad I did. Install was easy and placing the adapter on the tripod is a piece of cake, the binos just slide in and out but are held in by a little groove. The uni adapter is small enough that you can leave the adapter screwed into the binos buy still use the binos without the tripod. The rangefinders still fit perfectly in the harness with the adapter still screwed into them. Lastly, the thread protector that comes in the binos (if you don't have an adapter acts as a thread protector on the adapter as well (see picture 3).

Makes glassing easy and stable. Super quick to set your Binos up. Simple to swap back and forth from spotter to Binos as long as you have an extra mounting plate.

I got this and for my razor 10x42 Bino’s and is set up on a pro gt Tripod also use with a summit ss-p tripod for longer hikes in before I start to glass. Works perfectly for what it is and you don’t even notice the attachment on the Binoculars when it’s in your chest rig. But the conveyance of being able to go from bino’s To spotting scope is worth it’s weight in gold highly recommended and the vortex team is amazing!!

This is a nice adapter that you can keep on your binos and they won’t get in the way. It is small enough that it will still fit in my Bino case. The binos will wobble a little bit.
