The studio box itself is very nice, and I like how it folds down to be very portable. But the softbox side diffusers are too opaque, or probably more correctly, the lights are too weak. Brighter lights would make this a useful setup. Or it should work fine with actual photo floods.

I built a makeshift lightbox kit with some desk lamps and a poster board, and it accomplished the same thing. The difference is this one fits into a really nice briefcase-sized package that can be collapsed and stored in a small closet or under a bed. The lamps are bright. the blue backdrop is nice, but the white backdrop that comes with it is paper-thin so it doesn't look as good in the shots. If you're taking photos of items to auction or your collection of nick-knacks, then this is a good lightbox setup.

I knew from previous reviews that the tripod would be flimsy and it certainly is. Don't plan on using the tripod. The lights are very lightweight and the bases are light so they don't stay put real well. However the whole kit works pretty well, if you are not doing really serious photography. Would probably again but recognize that it is not made to last.

The lights alone were worth my purchase, but like the light box too! We produce handcrafted fridge magnets, so the smaller size is perfect. Quick delivery. Thanks! Fredda from The Magnificent Magnet

Total junk. First, the camera stand displayed is NOT the stand you get. You'll receive a clunky, cheapo, import, mini tripod. This tripod couldn't hold up anything. If your lucky both lamps will work and the switch won't need to be hit to make them stay on. The UL stickers on the lamps will melt off in short order leaving you questioning the validity of the rating. NEVER try to tilt or move the lamp if the light has been on at all, unless you like your fingerprints being melted off. The light these lamps produce are way to harsh to use with this "soft box". The never get soft, no matter how far away you place them. Save your money and search for a DIY carboard and tissue paper soft box that actually works! Shame on Andorama for still using this picture! For some odd reason people expect to get what it shown...

I love the studio. I wish that [...] discription stated that the camera stand was not intended for SLR cameras. The instructions that you get with the product do state this, but it is too late. I would have paid $20 less and got the same item without the camera stand.

THIS WAS THE BEST PURCHASE I HAVE EVER MADE.INSTEAD OF PAYING A PROFESSIONAL $50/HR TO TAKE MY PHOTOS, I PAYED [$] FOR A LIFETIME OF PROFESSIONAL PHOTOS.

I've been looking for something like this a long time! I've built home made rigs that got the job done but were bulky, clumsy and difficult to store and transport. As an eBay selling assistant, now I can travel to the customer's home and shoot their items quickly and professionally. Yes, the camera tripod is wimpy if you're using an older 35mm camera. I'm shooting digital and use a standard tripod sitting on the floor with the light box on a table or other elevated surface...works great!!

This product works surprisingly well. I use it to photograph auction items as well as items I shoot for catalog insertion. The results are very consistent and the two small lights are more than adequate. For under 100.00 it is very useful.

Great idea and portability, but the camera stand is too flimsy to hold a heavy SLR camera like my Minolta 7D. But the studio will fit on a table top, so a regular tripod can be used.
