It works as advertised.

More magnification would be nice, but this product does what it was designed to do rather well.

Did not work

I received the Pana-Vue #1, made sure the batteries were inserted correctly, then put in a slide. Nothing. Put the batteries in another device to make sure the batteries were okay. Put the bulb in a flashlight to make sure the bulb was okay. Everything checked out, but I could not get this thing to work. Put the bulb in a flashlight to make sure the bulb was okay. Everything checked out, but I could not get this thing to work. Then I went to work trying to figure out how this slide viewer got its juice. I was able to discern that a connection was not being made and I bent one of the copper connectors so the existing gap was no longer there. I got it working but, really, this is a VERY poorly made product and the electrical design looks like something out of the early days of electricity. Now that I have it working, the image of the slides is slightly distorted and not bright enough. Don't waste your money.

Easy to use-compact - economical

By

from Cordova, TN  -  Photo Enthusiast

It doesn't occupy a lot of space - quick to use. I previewed nearly 500 slides in a couple of afternoons - 2-3 hours at a time.

Does just what I bought it to do!

By

from Portland, OR  -  Pro Photographer

This viewer does exactly what I wanted it to do. I am able to look at I don't know how many hundred slides taken over the last 50 years and pick the ones that I want to convert/scan to digital. I can do that and keep the original too. Wonderful!!

Questions about this item:

Shopper  What about a film strip?
RODGER M  I've never had occasion to view film strips. Only framed 35mm transparencies. Best regards, Rodger
Shopper  How many can be loaded at a time?
WILLIAM K  One slide at a time, and the image isn't englarged at all.
Shopper  How do you replace the bulb in this viewer? Can't figure out how it opens.
Jacqueline B  The back comes off if you lift up at the bottom where the two holes are. A little challenging. The bulb is easily accessible then.
