This product is very poorly designed and constructed. I found it impossible to install the batteries as directed. I have returned the viewer. I cannot recommend this product,

This is great to get a good view of slides to pick ones for further editing. I had a similar one forty years ago so I was pretty sure it would work well. You can stack 20 or moreatba time and other viewers just one at a time.

This really does not work well. I don't think any of them do. I made some modifications to mine and it does the job.

I tried to use this product but when the light was supposed to come on by moving the slide to the right, the light did not light.

I am using this product to edit and transfer slides to DVD. The enlarged display helps in the editing process, but the set-up for the batteries was time consuming and the changing of the batteries difficult as the unit jammed. The batteries did not set properly and caused the jam. Reinserted the batteries and realigned the retaining spring and now the unit works, I hope.

Use to review slides but need bulb 245- screw-on type as can't use without replacement. How do I purchase one? Thank you!

I used batteries. Light would not consistently stay on out of box. I had to take it apart about 4 times and finally jam a penny into one of the battery contacts. Then it worked. The slide feed jammed repeatedly forcing me to reach in and manually extract slides. It's OK for the agile and mechanically inclined but not recomended for the old or arthritic.

Our old slide projector was not working and we needed to look through some old slides to transfer to a DVD. The Pana-Vue Auto Slide Viewer was the solution - it not only solved my problem but did a great job! I also liked that it could hold 36 slides which made the project go faster. I would definitely recommend it to anyone trying to make fast work of a project like mine.

i use it to review the many slides we have taken over the years. its focus is great the only real difficulty i had was opening it to load the batteries, but once in it does the job well

I have 1200 slides from the 50's and 60's to look at. You can stack 36 slides and look through them easily and quickly. Shows a clear picture. Put my digital camera on close-up and able to get a clear picture for future printing.[...]

I haven't tried using the AC adapter, using D batteries instead. I couldn't get the light to come on at first. I took it apart and used a voltmeter to find the problem. I found that the battery contacts are poorly designed. I was able to fix it with needle-nosed pliers. Also, one must be careful putting the slides through it or it may jam. After fixing it and learning how to operate it, it has given me no problems and works as advertised.

I have thousands of old 35 mmn transparencies, dating back to before WW2. In trying to orgaize, and eliminating the poor ones and assembling them for printing (a very few). It is the ideal instrument.

Excellent viewing quality. The screw base flash-light bulb #45 could not be found in any chain store except Ace Hardware. Their 2"D" battery bulb was slightly dimmer due to lower amperage. However the bulb never gave a problem after 4 hours of use I saw no distinguishable decrease of brightness. I ordered the 120V transformer with its specialized plug manufactured as its companion accessory as I did not want to worry about batteries. My intent was to economically convert old 35mm slides to digital and was very pleased with results. I set my digital camera to closeup, rested it lightly against the top surface of the top viewer lens. Any dust specks on the interior plastic difuser I blew off with a statigically placed straw.

Stack and view up to 36 slides. Easy push-pull operation. 2-5/8" square viewing screen. Brilliant 4x magnification. Lights each slide automatically via 2 D batteries (not included) or household current with optional transformer sku VRPVT.
