Easy to foucus, great glass, small, good price...I´m considering to sell my Canon 24mm f1.4 and just keeping this. The perfect streetphotography lens combined with a small body like my 6D. I read a few cons on other reviews and sites, but honestly I have not pushed the lens that far to noticed them. If you are thinking to buy the Canon 28mm f1.8, think twice and give a chance to this little great piece of glass.

If I was forced at gunpoint to pick just one lens from my collection and to superglue it onto my Nikon body, this would be the one. Sure, it's manual focus -- but for someone who grew up on manual focus film cameras, it doesn't bug me one bit. I have gotten stunningly sharp photos with this lens. The closest Nikkor I have to this lens, the 35 mm Nikkor f/1.8, is cheaper and has auto-focus, but I still find that this Voigtlander lens is my go-to. My ONLY nitpick -- and this applies to both Voiglander SL lenses I own - is that the caps don't tightly grip the lens barrel. It is VERY easy to lose a cap. My solution was to go out and buy a generic 52mm cap.

I was looking for a lens to complement my 50 mm. I was craving for a manual focus lens and not made in China. It is small, lightweight, very low profile, and cute. Ideal for travel and street photography. There is vignetting wide open and mild CA at the borders at f/11 but can be fixed post processing. Center is sharp at f/4 to f/8. The lens' sweet spot is f/8.
