Disappointed
Does not produce clear and distinct videos. Pans must be very slow to avoid blurry image.
FOr basic scenery and movies in plenty of light situations this little camera works ok. Does not produce a larger and better video recorder. Make sure you realize it is about the siz of a pack of cigarettes. Looks bigger in photos. However, for the cost, what did I expect?

Great value, Simple to use.
I was a film producer...and always hired others to operate the expensive camera equipment. So lots of people were surprised when I was raving about this camera. It is a great family film camera and perfect for a tech-challenged persons to start with.
Great quality in good light, but forget very low light situatons. The sound is excellent, so I also sometimes use it just for audio. I like the video quality a little better than the still photo quality.

More credit needed
I know this isn't the best of the best, but this little camera deserves more credit than I've seen it get. For the price, you shouldn't really expect it to be outstanding anyway. However, if you're buying on a budget, or you just need something for back up or projects it's a good little camera. I can't see anything wrong with it other than it doesn't have internal memory (you have to have an SD memory card in order to record video), which is really the only reason I didn't give it five stars. Again, do not purchase this camera thinking you're getting Sony quality, because you will be disappointed, but for the price it's a lot better than others I've seen out there for around the same price range or twenty dollars more.
