OK for the price

from Sacrmento CA  -  Pro Photographer

The SF 4000 is a simple small Slave. It is built to be a slave and does what it should. It is good for a fill or background light to be flashed when it sees the flash from the main source. This unit is a bit hard to figure out the setting; witch means some testing is necessary to get the right balance of light and shadow. The instructions are poor and no tricks or tips come with it. However, if you want an inexpensive slave to learn with and tryout some lighting ideas, this is a place to start for less cash. The unit is not what I would call well built, but at the price it can come in handy.

Nice Speed Flash

from Bay City Michigan  -  Semi-pro Photographer

I bought this flash to replace the one I had form digital concept. When i got the new vivitar I look at it and try it out. it a great portable flash system that come in handy when you don't want to spend a lot when buying a speed flash. I use both with and with out a hot shoe and even in slave mode when you want it to fire second to add additional effect. it a great cheap flash when you need some just a little light and not heave or bulky when your caring a lot of equipment

I liked the price, but need a more powerful flash.
