Large 4½" APO Deep High Contrast Viewing The ED "S" apochromatic refractor features Extra-Low Dispersion (ED) glass in its objective lens to suppress chromatic aberration to a virtually invisible level. Coupled with a medium f/7.7 focal ratio, the ED "S" series provide a sharp, color-free image of high contrast for both visual and photographic applications.

The GP2 equatorial mount comes standard with tripod and counterweight. It is easy to use and functions well for both the visual observer and astrophotography. The declination and right-ascension functions with 144-tooth aluminum worm gears allowing accurate tracking. Motion is controlled by includedcontrol knobs for accurate slewing. The polar altitude adjustment varies from 0°to 62° in altitude.
