Well made, accurate

It's well made and very precise. The reticle works brilliantly for it's brightness intensity and the star adjustment ability, hoping from star to star without moving guidescope. I'm using an 80mm f/11 refractor that was only $. Even with optics limitation I can find a star every time with the help of the 3x barlow. The only negative is the weight of the GA4 with an ep, though partially it's due to pushing the Sphinx mount to max weight capacity - two scopes (114mm f/5.4, 80mm f/11), a Rebel XT and the GA4. It's a great way to learn old school guiding techniques and obtain quality images.

Illuminated Guiding Adapter GA-4 (1-1/4") :
The Vixen GA-4 illuminated Guiding Adapter projects an illuminated reticle image of concentric guiding circles and cross hairs. It is an indispensable accessory for astrophotography. Some of its features are:
1. A red reticle image of adjustable intensity is projected on the field of view of the eyepiece. The star image stays visible when it is on the reticle.
2. A 3x Barlow lens is built-in for accurate guiding.
3. A lock ring holds the eyepiece in place. The eyepiece-holder rotates to adjust the reticle image focus.
4. The position of the reticle image can be easily adjusted without moving the eyepiece.
5. Two LR-44 alkaline batteries are included (MS76 Batteries also work fine) .
