Have had the opportunity to view thru the eyepiece for the first time and compared it to a friends 22mm type 4 Nagler. Now of course the Nagler had a little bit better clarity and more field of view, yet for the money I would go for the the Vixen as there truly was not a lot of difference. I plan on getting other Vixen LVW eyepieces. Next I think will be the Vixen 5mm LVW.

Vixen Lanthanum Superwides ..The most pleasant surprise is that they show sharp, contrasty views across nearly the entire field, even through fast-focal-ratio instruments. These LVW wide lenses are among the best values in quality wide-angle eyepieces. With extra-long 20mm eye-relief, an excellent field of view, and an Eyeball-filling, 65° wide-field, these 8-element-5-group Quality Optics made of Lanthanum, a rare earth glass which helps in holding aberrations to a minimum, will give you a great buy!
