Shopper : I am interested in buying an entry level telescope and was wondering what is people's experience of the Vixen Space Eye 70. Any information would be greatly appreciated. What do you think?SAMEER B : I would avoid it ; while Vixen makes excellent high end telescopes, this entry level scope is terrible; while the optics are just ok, the mount is flimsy and mount controls are poor; focuser is made of cheap plastic, and the eyepieces and diagonal are just as bad; you need to spend more money to get something decent so that it does not kill your interest in astronomy;LOIS M : I purchased this telescope for my 10father yr. Old and it is great! He followed the directions and with a little help put it together. We saw Jupiter and 55how of its moons using the separately purchased lenses with free carrying case. I would definitely recommend it for any budding astronomer! Lois M
