Questions & Answers

Shopper : Is there a left-handed option?JAMES P : YesDORINDA G : I askeds when you login. You turn it around. You can set the preferences as well.FRANCES G : Yes there is a left handed option. When you download the driver, you also download the manual. It will tell you how to switch it to left handed.TJ L : Yes there is. You are prompted for that option when the software installs and you set up the tablet.JEROME L : Yes, Just go to setting and select Left Hand. It's that simple. By the way it is a great tablet.NEIL T : YES ! Just rotate the tablet 180 degrees and the tablet becomes a "lefty" version. I "like" mine. I have owned wacom tablets for the last 10 years. My "first" was an Intuos 3. I mainly use this with Adobe's Photoshop, and Google's Sketchbook.CHERYL K : Yes a left handed may use..I am left handed and it's fine..please read enclosed literature and the information is given.ARMANDO M : Yes, you rotate the tablet around. The setup software asks you if you would like it set up for right or left handed use.
ANDREA P : I've never used a tablet before. Did you find there was a difficult learning curve? I really need to use one for photography, the mouse and trackball is not easy for some work.STEPHEN H : There is a small learning curve, but once you are beyond this you will find that you edit faster and with greater accuracy. It is not difficult. It just takes some practice. Adapting to the tablet has been the best thing I have ever done for my workflow.JEANINE C : I love my Wacom Tablets, I have the Inutous 4 small and medium. I still use a mouse but I am not working on photography. The pen allows you so much more control. A great tool for photo editing, There are dvds with tutorials from NAPP or Photoshop Cafe. You can also go online to Wacom for help.WILL A : I haven't even tried mine yet so I can't be of much help, but others have told me that the learning curve is well worth it. GREGG P : I have used a couple Wacom tablets and there was never any real learning curve. They are extremely easy to set up and use. It's the only way to do photo editing.MARTIN M : When using it for brush-type operations, such as creating masks in Photoshop, it is extremely easy to use - just like using a pencil to doodle. Likewise, selecting Photoshop tools, navigating menus, and such takes a bit of getting used-to, but it is a short learning curve and you can quickly use it instead of the mouse. However, I find that using it as a general mouse-type device (or even using the tablet mouse included with my Intuos 4) is a bit awkward, and may require a bit more getting used-to - for general document work and such, I'm still better with a regular mouse. But for it's real use - editing photographs - I don't know what took me so long to get one.BRENDA L : I ultimately bought the Cintiq by Wacom. I absolutely LOVE it. I do all my processing with it. While the Cintiq is a bit of a bite on the wallet, if what you can do right now is the tablet then I wholeheartedly encourage you in that direction. The mouse just can NOT get right down to pixel level and make the detailed modifications Wacom's products allow you to do with the amazing pen. Go for it!KAREN L : I have to admit that I have failed in the use of the Wacom. I am much quicker with my mouse. I have been told that one needs to put the mouse away for at least 3 weeks and then you will never go back. I have found it hard to put the mouse away, but many who have done this, I know have truly enjoyed the tablet. I still say "Someday".....
ANDREA P : Does this come with any software?JUDITH F : It comes with some bundled software for download and a driver disk. Some of the software is trial; some full versions. Check the Wacom website to see what is bundled now JEROME L : Comes with Adobe Photoshop Elements 10, Amime Studio Debut 8, Autodesk Sketch Book Express and Nik Software Color Effects Pro 4. Also trial versions of Corel Painter.BERNIE C. L : Yes it comes with Photoshop Elements 10, Colorefex pro limited edition and several other software programs as a download from Wacom website. When you do log onto the software page select all programs to download as this is a one time choice to make your selections after that your choices are available if you need to re-download, I could not get Colorefex to download properly so I downloaded it directly from Nik and used the wacom provided key. P.S great tabletDIANA C : The Wacom Tablet comes with software. The software is easy to load and is equiped with a tutorial or at least a website that refers you to a tutorial. It is pretty intense as far as what the tablet can be adjusted to your likes. I thought it had a very high learning curve.JAMES D : Hi, this tablet comes fully supported from Wacom. You get software / drivers when you purchase the tablet. I have been using Wacom tablets for years, they have always supported their products with free updates. This is the gold standard of tablets, and the company is first rate.DEBRA M : Nope, just the driver for the tablet. I was hoping for some bonus software when I purchased it, too - turns out they offer discounts for software purchase only. Oh well - I love the tablet.ARMANDO M : It just comes with the drivers and control panel software which cam be found on the Wacom website too.
