The right tool for the right job.


This is the perfect product for heavy data users that can't afford enterprise grade HDDs, such as the WD RE4. It has a range of features that make it better suited than any other consumer HDD for RAID arrays or ZFS pools, especially for multi-user network environments. I'm replacing several aging WD Greens with these WD Reds.

Product good but Adorama service bad


Well, the hard disks were excellent. very quiet... But what I can say about Adorama shipping quality. I bought 2 hard disks which were wrapped in a thin non static plastic and thrown in a box along with 1 piece of void fill air pouch. The hardisks were free to move inside the box.The hard disks are working as of now but I have no idea how this has damaged the magnetic disks and heads affecting the life of product.
