Once, set up works great. Had some difficulty with the initial set up, but once that was figured out, everything, does what it is supposed to do. Nice product.

About WD 1TB My Book Studio LX Hard Drive

WD 1TB My Book Studio LX is a desktop hard drive with an all-metal enclosure and FireWire-800 and USB 2.0 connectivity options. The drive features an LCD display which can be customized to remind you what type of data is stored on the drive, even when it is unplugged.

Designed for use with Mac OS X systems, the drive is preformatted with the HFS+ file system. It is compatible with Time Machine, allowing you to use it as an external backup drive. It includes the WD SmartWare software suite and uses a WD GreenPower drive for reduced energy consumption.
