I traveled with these lights for use with the Westcott Spiderlite TD5. I do suggest keeping the packaging to ensure safe transport. It worked great for me to use in a studio setting taking to a client's home for indoor portraits. This was the main light source along with two smaller lights for hair and countering soft light sources.

They are heavy but fit into the Spider Lights hub fine. Twice they have unscrewed themselves. Love the brightness.

I've had a Spiderlite TD5 for over a year and the one thing missing was some power. Always-on soft lighting is a cure-all for Portrait work, but the original bulbs were just too weak to do a good job. These color-balanced bulbs are just what the doctor ordered. Seems a bit excessive to charge so much per bulb - but the law of supply and demand is in play. No one else offers color correct low wattage bulbs at time of this writing.

Westcott's 50-watt fluorescent 5-pack provides over 900 watts of power when combined with the Spiderlite TD5. Each lamp is compact, yet rugged and holds a high CRI rating of 93+. Finally, a powerful fluorescent you can travel with.
