PETER C : Can I buy just the softbox? I already have a stand and bracket.LAWRENCE W : Yes you can. I just contacted Westcott about this very thing. Their resoponse was that all items within their kits are sold individually. The apollo stripbank within the kit is #2337.CHARLES B : Yes. The strip box is universal and can be mounted any standard light stand.ANDREW L : No, I believe it comes as a kit. You can never have too many light stands.
TINA S : can this be used with my canon 580exiispeedlite , and do I need any kind of adapter ?ROBERT M : I use this with my 580 EXII. You will need a way to trigger it from your camera remotely like any off camera flash. I have had luck using the canon IR but suggest you use either radio triggers or you look at the <a href="http://www.adorama.com/PASTR137.html" target="_blank">http://www.adorama.com/PASTR137.html</a> if you need to trigger it with a wire from your camera to flash. Other than that it has everything you need.WALTER C : I use Nikon strobes; but I believe it will work fine with Canon strobes.DOUG W : I am not a Canon shooter, however the design of this kit will work with any type of hot shoe flash. I shoot with Nikon and my Sb-900's work great with the Apollo using the SU-800 trigger on my camera. EDWARD M : You will need a radio trigger, like a pocket wizard or radio popper, or a long sync cable to fire the 580ex2 while it is in a closed soft box. Or, switch to Canon's new speedlites with built in radio triggers.
Shopper : Hi what is the total weight of this kit? thank youR.L. E : The Apollo Strip Speedlight Kit with the included light stand doesn't weigh over 5 pounds, if that. I would suggest a heavier duty light stand but that is my personal preference.

Appollo Light Kit is Great

I bought not only the strip light but the square and star-shaped kits. I am very impressed by the portability and ease of use with the kits. Everything needed is included with the kit, just pop in the speedlight and you are ready to go. I use these outdoors for just about every shoot I do. Be prepared to anchor them down though as just a little wind will cause these to tip over. These are very portable and I can carry everything I need in a shoulder bag to the photo shoot. The umbrellas seem just a little flimsy but I haven't used them enough to break one yet!

Perfect for HEADSHOTS

Excellent Softbox for Headshots. The 16x30 is very flexable and allows many possibilities. An excellent addition. I would pick this up if its your 1st Softbox or if your looking to add a second Softbox for Portraits. For the price you get a Softbox,Stand,Durable metal mounting bracket. Can't beat it!
