Shopper : It says the stand is 8.8' and the line items says it is a 9.5' Air cushioned stand. Which is it?ROBERT L : It's 8.5 feetEUGENE P : Look, don't worry about the stand. It is not of the best quality anyway but umbrella on the other hand is amazing. Make sure and order the sock for it as well. The umbrella rod is too skinny but workable, just be gentle. Forget about working outside, this thing is a size of spare parashoot. Also, make sure flash-bracket is strong. You will quickly forget about all these problems once you get the umbrella going. Huge light source= amazingly soft soft light. Enjoy!BILL E : I would consider the Flashpoint Air Cushioned Stand that came with my kit to be a 9' Stand. With the connector and bracket, I guess you could stretch it to be 9'-6", but with the 7' Umbrella, I have never had the need to extend it to full height, but would anticipate needing some substantial counterweight or sandbags since it is a lightweight stand.FRANCOIS F : When I bought the bundle in Sept. 2012, it came with a 8.5" air cushioned Flashpoint air stand (SKU NKSB910AFU). I also bought the Westcott parabolic white diffusion front. It's a great set.+++

Looks pretty good, fairly sturdy. I could only set up in my apartment and it's too small for me To fully open the umbrella all the way. But I'm fairly happy with it

Great soft light

I use the umbrella with Xplore 600 and diffusion. Wow!!! Ultra soft light. For the money can't beat. Highly recommend for studio portraits.

Looks like a reasonable setup. I'm commenting because the picture of the umbrella holder and the actual umbrella holder delivered are different. And it doesn't include a cold shoe. I have a cold shoe so not a huge issue, but you may want to make sure that a cold shoe is included in order to attach a flash.
