About Wimberley BS-100

The Wimberley BS-100 Brass Reducer Bushing screws into the female threading upon the tripod collars of some larger telephoto lenses, essentially converting the hole to act like a 1/4"-20 threaded socket. Wimberley quick release plates use 1/4"-20 screws, not the larger 3/8"-16 size.

Wimberley BS-100 Features

  • Used to convert the 3/8"-16 size female threading upon large telephoto lenses' mounting foot to accept 1/4"-20 threaded male screws

The best when used on a Giottos ballhead

By

I have used this bushing many times on Giottos ballhead to reduce the 3/8" hole to accept 1/4 bolts. The flange (lip) of most 3/8" to 1/4" bushing is just too thick. This Wemberley bushing has a smaller flange and fits perfectly.

Shopper  Hello, i have a tripod head with a 1/4-20 thread stud, and i would like to fit my tripod head on it, but it has a 3/8 thread system. Can anyone tell me if a "stud-sleeve" exist to enlarge the tripod head stud to 3/8 ?, to allow my tripod head to correctly fit it? Thanks. Eric.
