Does what it says

I haven't used it much yet however This slave seems to do what it's supposed to. It ignors the pre-flash and triggers on the real flash. However it does not work with a standard flash or a digital flash set to full manual control (like my sb800, old metz or Hensel studio lights) This slave is triggered by the second flash from a digital flash. If there is no second flash (manual setting) it will not trigger.

I'm using this to trigger an old handle mount metz for use in studio. This slave works well and does not respond to the pre-flash. However, this will not respond at all to a manual flash like studio strobes or an SB800 set to full manual. This slave is triggered by the second flash - If there is only one flash this slave will not be triggered.

Many professional Nikon (D100) and Olympus E20N) SLR digital cameras have not one but TWO preflashes to fine tune the on board exposure computer. This will prevent standard slave units from working with these cameras

WEIN products has duplicated the entire line of its popular solid state batteryless slaves in a digital format that can perfectly synchronize with digital preflash cameras
