It was frightening to me. I was shooting a large horse show with a Nikon D2xs set in reg. 12.4 mp mode. I had to download my cards. 1st couple of folders went well, but it only told me the total number of files copied from the last inserted disk as opposed to total on hard drive. While copying a third disk (note, that I constantly checked the status screen)it stopped. I didn't think it had copied the whole disk, so I ran the disk again and watched even more closely. Once I got all files home. Was I glad I was suspicious, as the first time through the 3rd card, it indeed had cut off and copied only a few files. If I hadn't re-run that card I would have lost a whole cards worht of client photos. I realize there are models with LCD screens so you can see the photos, but I just couldn't afford it. But for the money, I do believe this product could have better functionality for peace of mind. Unfortunately, it will probably sit in my camera bag and I'll go back to downloading to a laptop. ;+(

This product made my life so much easier. Download is relatively fast and secure. I use this hard drive for work too. It help me save lots of money on CD's and DVD's. Highly recomend it!!!
