Worked fine for a while then quit workin
I bought to use on my D 300 but it only worked a short time and died in the middle of a trip out west. It was not worth trying to save and buy this unit. You are better off buying Nikons.

Performs as advertised
I typically take one escorted tour a year that visits multiple cites in one or more countries. During these tours I take 2000-3000 pictures and it is a challenge to keep track of where each picture was taken. This product solves this problem beautifully.
I have used this product with my Nikon D300. The instructions are very cryptic. You have to have enough sense without writen instructions to activate the GPS mode in your camera, turn 'on' the on-off switch of this product, and wait for the red LED to stop flashing, about 1-2 minutes. The LED is a bit dim so during the day when you are outside you have to look very carefully to determine if it has lock on to your location. Other than this, it works quite well. It even gives the elevation, but this information usually takes an extra minute or so. I should add that it remains operational even after you switch off your camera and not the Wolverine, so when you switch your camera back on it has the correct information to tag your shot.
Even though it is small and light weight, if you are not careful, it will interfere with operation of the built-in flash. The flash door must be in a completely up position before it will work, and the Wolverine can easily be placed in a way that blocks full opening of the flash. This is not that big a problem if you are aware of it.
The included software is a stand alone program that pin points each picture location one at a time with Goolge Map. I would love to have it to have the capability to display the location of all the pictures in any particular subdirectory so I can see all the places I have gone on single map. Additionally, I would like the program to operate in the background so I could click on any picture to see where it was shot.
