hello,I want to let you know how much I love this unit. All of my music has never sounded so good. I am hearing things in all my music that I have never heard before. It really is a marvelous piece of equipmentThat being said I am having one small problem. I wanted to wait until it happened a few times before I got in touch with you. The remote is intermittent. I think it is a bad contact in the remote. The only time it gives me trouble is when I use it for the first time that day. It will not wake the unit up. I have to tap it on the table to get it to work. Seems to me that it is probably a battery contact thing. Once I get it to work it will work fine the rest of the day. I have tried different batteries but to no avail. I don't want to wait until I have to start bashing in on the table to get it to work so I thought I would get in touch with you now. Thank you for your time and effort.Sincerely,Richard G. Pappasrich5443[@] is my e mail address

Solid CD Changer

Few CD changes remain on the market. The competition (Sony, Sherwood) is plastic junk. The Yamaha is better engineered and built, but it still has problems with the carousel system. Mine has already jammed, requiring diassembly and realignment of carousel opening mechanism.

Hours of music

By

from East Windsor, CT  -  Enthusiast

My new Yamaha CD-C600BL Compact Disk replaces an old single CD Magnavox player that was 30 years old. The Magnavox did not have the option of playing MP3s, music from my iPod or a flash drive. Moreover, having the luxury of loading multiple CDs is a convenience I truly enjoy. Coupling this Unit with the Yamaha R-S700 Natural Sound two Chanel Stereo Receiver is a perfect mate for quality of sound and compatibility. The CD-C600BL is made well and when the player switches to the next CD it is almost a seamless operation, very little dead air. I will just say I am glad I bought it.

Top flight CD changer

By

from Philadelphia,PA  -  Enthusiast

This changer plays and sounds like a single disc player. Smooth and quiet operation. Music is clear and the bass is tight. You can't go wrong with this one.

advance in sound

By

from Los Angeles, CA  -  Enthusiast

I didn't expect a substantial change in sound from my old JVC (which I loved), but this is smoother and richer -- sounds more like an LP. I use it about 10 hours a week, plus 5-disc shuffle for parties. The shuffle has the same slight defect others do: If there's a disc with many tracks, that's the one that gets the most selections; it doesn't take song length into consideration. (If you shuffle one 20-song Motown hits CD with four four-song Coltrane discs, for instance, the Motown will get more than half the selections.) Easy to use, though, and though some buyers say the USB input gave them problems, it worked for me. I'm happy after three weeks, and hope it lasts.

THOMAS B  I wouldn't buy this unit because its been in for repair twice in less than a year. Lot of money for something that isn't reliable.
Shopper  can I hook up my tv to this unit and be able to get surround sound out out of tv through yamaha speakers?
THOMAS B  Don't know about surround sound. My unit has been shop for warranty repair already.
