I just bought 2 more of these for a total of 4. It is so nice to have such a light weight and super portable lighting set that won't break the bank. Personally I prefer manual over auto flash any day since there isn't any second guessing once the units are set up. Buy the external battery packs and shoot all day long. Incredible bang for the buck. Clean set up for photobooth since you don't have cords all over the place that subjects can trip over. The built in radio slave rocks it too. I use the rx603 controller with no issues. At the current price point I could burn through a set of these every couple of years and still be way ahead of more expensive units like my 580 ex2 or my old speedotrons.

I have a few of these and they work great for my small studio. I trigger them with the Yongnuo TX controller. After 2 years I've not had one misfire or fail.

I read reviews before investing in this flash system, and knew it was a great value. However, after receiving my flashes and TX transmitter I was very surprised at the design and built quality of this equipment. I plan to use this as a compact, light system for executive/head and shoulders portraits. Right out of the box, I found everything easy to set up, very convenience, and very good performance. For the price, nothing else comes close to this Yongnuo YN-560 III system.

Just finished a shoot of 300 photos and it worked flawless. I say 300 photos because I was surprised the batteries lasted for the entire shoot.

As someone that sometimes uses and needs a hotshoe flash, this is just great. I love the tilt and rotate feature, allowing me to use the flash in portrait mode. I had a pentax af360, which did not rotate and was much more expensive. This has the wide angle diffuser and the bounce card too. Less than ($)!

This is the second one of these. They work remotely wireless with Yongnuo 602 & 603's. They also work optically so almost any flash will trigger them. It is handy at gatherings because you can set them up in a low light setting and the flash from most other cameras and many phones will trigger them.

The last flash I owned was a Sunpak. I am amazed how fast this flash charges and how powerful it is compared to the old compact flashes. I don't like to use flash and didn't want to spend a lot of money, so I picked this unit. This flash is solidly made and has a lot of features for the money. It fires on the hot shoe of my Nikon DF and has a built in wireless trigger, but I'm using it with a Vello Freewave wireless trigger.

I have always liked manual flashes for secondary off camera lighting. I used them for 30+ years as a travel and editorial photographer. My holy Vivitar 285 flashes became unreliable so I tried several replacements. This is the best bang for the buck. They have a good built-in slave trigger that can be fired from your on-camera pop-up flash, even with the camera pre-flashing in TTL mode! That's a BIG FEATURE! They also have a PC input so my old cords work with them for outdoor use. Well built.
