C 300 helmet
We use Canon C300's and love this kit which is mounted on the camera all the time. We use a Sound device pre-mix D and run that sound into the the Camera using the 1/4 zud and 15MM rod port. We also mount a Atomos Shogun to the cold shoe mounts. Everything secures tightly to this set up and is a standard on both of our Canon C-300's Solidly build with a multitude of connection options! The Zacuto C300/C500 Helmet Kit includes the C300/C500 Helmet, a 3" Z-Rail and the Recoil Handle top grip. The C300/C500 Helmet is a mini cage designed to mount directly to the top of the Canon C300 or C500 in place of the plastic top handle. It gives you multiple 1/4" 20 and 3/8" 16 mounting screw holes to which you can securely attach a variety of accessories. The Helmet attaches to the camera via one screw on top and two additional screws on the sides, mounting it firmly in place. The two film plane screws must be removed from the camera, but can be screwed into the Helmet, maintaining their original position. Longer screws for attaching the Helmet to the camera body are included.
The Recoil Handle attaches to the Helmet via the included 3" Z-Rail. The quick-release Recoil Handle includes two coldshoe mounts (one vertical & one horizontal), a 15mm quick-release rod port and two 3/8" 16 screw hole mounts (convert to 1/4" 20 with a brass collet). The two coldshoe mounts secure with a quick-release clamp onto the shoe of your accessory. Mount two cold shoe items at once with a half turn of a Zacuto lever. No unnecessary winding of the annoying plastic round tie-down wheel! The top handle itself is hand tooled fine three-quarter maple.
