Zwiss Cage Plate
The Zwiss Cage Plate is long cheese plate that includes very important 1/4-20" and 3/8-16" mounting holes as well as 15mm mounting holes on the ends for a connecting to rods and Zamerican Arms.
The Zwiss Cage plate allowed me to mount articulating arms, rods, batterie, converter box, monitor and audio recorder. It also has the mounting holes to mount Wireless Plate Pro.
Together with the Zacuto DSLR Baseplate it forms best cage I've ever owned for my mirrorless camera. A lot of mounting options, solid, and the DSLR baseplate that this comes with has one of the best quick-disconnect mechanisms for a camera that I've ever seen.
Highly recommended. Great product, in very good quality.

Zwiss Cage Plate
I love the versatility of having this cheese plate mounted to the back of my shoulder rig. It works perfectly for mounting batteries, wireless transmitters, and the extra 15mm holes on the bottom are a great bonus that expands on this product’s flexibility. The levers lock down nice and tight, leaving me with little concern of the weight sliding off the back. Overall, this is another top quality product from Zacuto!

Glad I remembered this little item!
I've bought a lot of Zacuto gear. Always great quality, smart, inventive...love all the new stuff. Then I remembered this item... Could work!?
I got this "Cage Plate" direct, and got a great deal on it because it's a closeout item. I wasn't planning to use it as a cage plate. Instead, I'm using it as a slider platform with horizontally-mounted U-groove wheels. A nice repurposing.
There must be dozens of uses for this plate, in addition to its intended use.
I'm thinking about scooping up the rest.
